it's a new home!
hello!
today I have a fun card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
I used the super cute Newton Loves Boxes stamp set, that I combined with the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set!
so cute, right?
I mean...that little rainbow village in the background helps...ha ha!
I stamped and colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut them out.
for the background, I tinted some embossing paste with a light grey ink, to add a hint of grey. love how it looks with the Pawprints Stencil.
I finished the card off with a banner, where I heat embossed the sentiment.
thanks for checking this out!
be sure to head over to the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
enjoy!

just a little note...
hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
eep, love it!
the current challenge is all about fun folds, and I couldn't resist using my Lift the Flap die again!
I started by using Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Antique Linen to add color to the front. then I splattered some water and color onto it!
I die cut the flap, and it reveals the pretty rainbow background with the band playing happy birthday!
so fun!
I stamped and colored the critters from Critter Concert with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
I love that little conductor bird on the front! ha! he gives a little hint as to what is under the flap!
thanks again for checking this out with me!
be sure to swing by the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog to see the card and keep up with all of the current challenges! :)
enjoy!

driveway hockey layout!
hello there!
today I'm sharing this layout I made for the 10th Altenew Sketch Challenge! love it!
the Altenew Sketch Challenges are my FAVORITE challenge, I just LOVE each sketch!
so this time, I made a layout combining both Scrapbook Kits: Our Family and Reflections.
so fun!
I love the loose, grid style, and tried to mimic it on my page!
I love those wood leaf shapes, and even though it has nothing to do with hockey, I added them in! and I'm so glad I did!
I used my sewing machine to stitch a little bit all over the page, and also did some heat embossing with two mini sets: My Family and Traveling!
there's also some tissue paper, patterned papers and tabs behind some of the photo areas. and I used the awesome Dotted Washi Tape, which is my new favorite product ever! lol!
and I finally used that camera - SO IN LOVE WITH IT! I've been hoarding it, but I told myself to just use it! h!
so that's my page!
hope you like it, and be sure to check out the challenge here on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog!

I'm only sharing cards made with 2 of the new sets, so be sure to hop along to EVERYONE'S blogs to see all FIVE of the new sets being featured today!
my first card uses the Floaty Goat stamp set!
isn't it hilarious?! I laugh every time I see that sentiment! ha!
I used the packaging technique to smoosh Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks onto my card front as the water!
then, I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! see that little hidden rainbow in the icecream...I can't stop myself guys! ha!
what I really wanted to do was add an action wobbler under the goat, but I didn't have any of the minis! bummer!! ha!
my second card features amazing Flip-Flop Life stamp set!
again, I used my favorite Distress Ink color combos: Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers to create the sky! then I used the Cloudy Sky Stencil to add some clouds with white embossing paste!
I added some clothespins and then used my sewing machine to add the 'laundry line'! ha ha! I recently used this idea for a onesie card I made, you can see it here! ha!

my first card uses the new Shark Frenzy set!
I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then cut out along the edges!
I was inspired to make this card after watching this video by Jennifer McGuire!
It opens on both sides, and on the right side of the card is some white embossing paste that i used with the Bubbly Stencil!
I love how it opens on both sides!
It's totally a new concept for me! ha!

my second card features the cute flamingos from Flamingo Flock!
I stamped then with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and then colored in the images, ligthly.
I also stamped the two flamingo images from Flirty Flamingos and then popped them up with foam tape over a circle of vellum!

all of that was put over the background images! then I used the scalloped shape from the Flags and Frames die to add a fancy edge!
oh! I also heat embossed the sentiment onto the vellum circle and then added some sequins!

Newton's Nook Designs’ 5 Year Celebration - Day 2
we're keeping it strong this week with day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs July release and 5 year celebration!
and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! these sets are so FUN and perfect for those summer birthdays coming up!
today we're sharing the fun, summer inspired Newton’s Summer Treats and Cozy Campers + coordinating dies!
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 20th, right here!
my first card just had to use that cute icecream eating Newton from Newton's Summer Treats stamp set!
I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! see that little hidden rainbow in the icecream...I can't stop myself guys! ha!
I used a striped stencil and some white embossing paste to add texture to the background!
then I folded down the top corner of the card front to reveal a fun, summer sky!
my second card features the cute little camper from Cozy Campers!
I used some light, light grey cardstock, and the Starfield Stencil to add the white embossing paste! LOVE that subtle, night sky!
I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks to ink blend on the hills I cut out with the Land Border dies!
lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a tiny bit of vellum, then adhered it to the card.
