Newton's Nook Designs Spring Release - Spring Heights Stamp Set + Coordinating Die Set

and sooooo versatile!

this spring release is allllll about happy, fresh and breezy!

the cute critters in this set are so fun and a little mischievous! lol!

I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once the imges were all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I added foam tape to the back, to popped it up.

for the background, I ink blended the stencils with Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo and a tiny bit of Walnut Stain for the ground! I used the Clouds Stencil to make it look like piles of dirt! so fun!!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some white cardstock, and then used the Hexagon Frames dies to die cut it out. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to add a bright, happy pop of color!

this spring release is allllll about happy, fresh and breezy!
I used the new Easter Postage Sampler Stamp Set for my first card!

I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once the imges were all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. except I didn't use this set in the traditional way! I thought it would be SO SWEET to pair those tulips with the fun Spring Garden Line Stencil! tulips on tulips on tulips!! 

for the background, I ink blended the stencils with Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the tulip blooms and Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the grass and stems and Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed for the sky).

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some white cardstock, and then used the same greens to ink blending the strip of cardstock and popped it up with foam tape! and I finished the card by splattering some green ink on the bottom of the card.

my next card uses the Easter Postage Samper set and the new Happy Easter dies!

again, the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out. I popped them up against the vellum banner that was die cut with the Basic Frames dies. I also popped up the phrase with foam tape after die cutting the words from various shades of pink cardstock.

 

 

for the background, I used the Bunny Tails Stencil set with Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the bunnies andwhite embossing paste for the tails. all of that is on top of a soft kraft cardstock.

 

 

I finished off the card by tying a bow in pink and white twine across the banner! so sweet!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #191 - Spring Fling

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so lovely, and sweet and magical!

What a fun theme!

eeeeeep! so sweet!
I started by stamping the images from You're a Keeper, Fox Costumes Before 'n Afters, All the Clouds and Hive Five. then I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I used a white gel pen to add some details to the images and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies!

  

 

for the background, I started by using Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the sky. I also used Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the grass. and I die cut out the grass with the Grassy Border.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock and then popped up with foam tape.

today I have this fun card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
I love these cute robots!

I stamped the images from Love Bots and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut out the images!
I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen.

I ink blended the background with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold. then I splattered the same ink colors, as well as some white acrylic ink on top.
then I die cut out the frame from Frames & Tags die set with white cardstock and popped it up with foam tape.

I also heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some red cardstock. then I die cut it out with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.
the images were also popped up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #190 - Anything But a Card

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so easy, yet so FUN! you'll want to play along more than once!

I love any excuse that allows to me the opportunity to create a scrapbook page!

so fun!
my family, along with my in-laws and brother/sister-in-law always go big for halloween! 2 halloweens ago, we went as the Island of Misfit Toys characters! and it was SO fun!! I'm so glad I was able to document this moment!

I used dragged the Distress Paints in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade onto the white cardstock background.
then I splattered it on top with white acrylic ink and black acrylic ink.

 

I used the Snowflake Trio Stencil and black Gesso  to add the bold black snowflakes (perfect for a halloween layout! lol)
then I used the pumpkin from Costume Party and stamped in the coordinating Distress Oxide Inks to stamp some tone-on-toine punpkins!
I heat embossed part of the sentiment with Harold's ABCs in white onto some black licorice cardstock. then used the Stitched Sentiment Banners to die cut it out.

 

I die cut out the rest of the sentiment with Henry's ABCs and then popped it up with foam tape.
next, I backed the photo with papers from the 6x6 Candy Cane Lane paper pad as well as some guaze.

hopefully you're having a wonderful weekend!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and BONUS I even made a video for this card! you can check it out on my youtube channel or click the link here!

I couldn't resist making this card with a combination of some of the new Valentine's Day release and older sets from Lawn Fawn!

I stamped the images from To A Fungi, Gleeful Gardens and Oh Gnome! I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I also added a few details with a white gel pen!

I die cut out the leafy vines from the Plant-A-Succulent and the envelopes from the Little Letter die set from white cardstock. then I used Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Pine Needles to ink blend the leafs, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves for the envelopes. I also sprinkled the white acrylic ink on top to add splatters!

I arranged the leaves and mushrooms in the envelopes and attached them to the white woodgrain cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape. I couldn't resist adding that little snail and speech bubbles to the bottom too!!
