coffee springtime card!

hi there!
today I have this card up on the Newton's Nook blog as part of the 2022 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I used the cute Newton's Mug stamp set and selectively stamped the image without stamping the paws on the cup!

then I used the Tulips stamp set to add the adorable spring time freshness to the mug! the images were all colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out!

instead of stamping the sentiment as is, I masked off the sentiment, line by line, and heat embossed it on some pink cardstock. then I used the Banner Trio Die Set to die cut it out!

I used some light kraft carstock for the front, and then used white embossing paste and the Tree Rings Stencil to add texture. I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top!

what a great day!

i already shared one card on the Create a Smile Stamps blog! you can head over there and read all about the fun little ditty! i LOVE it! Create a Smile is also one of the SUPER sponsors!! wahoooooo! 

i'm also sharing this fun card that i created with the Create a Smile Mugs To Go chipboard pieces on my blog! that's right, i made two cards! ha!

i covered the to go cups with white gesso, and once it was dry i added some Mowed Lawn distress ink watercoloring to them! i felt that was the closest 'starbucks-y' color. he he!

the sentiment was made with some alpha stickers, isn't it hilarious!! he he he! oh, and the background was made with the Say It Stencil from Create a Smile!

so that's my (2nd) card!

you know that part in the story "visions of sugar plums danced in their heads", well that was my inspiration! :)
except, we're grown ups, so instead of sugar plums, we dream of coffee at night! ha ha! :)

i cut the profile of the girl out with my silhoutte, and then colored and cut out those ADORABLE coffee cups from an old Market Street Stamps set (which is so adorable!!!). 
the background is distress inks (chipped sapphire, peacock feathers and tumbled glass), and then drops of water (to mimic snow!). and then a vellum thought/dream cloud above the girl was cut with some vellum and the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio Creative Cuts die.
