literally the best!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog with some of the cutest little book lovers ever!
and BONUS, there's a video!

I stamped and colored the images from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Add-on with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
then I added some details with a white gel pen once everything was dry.
next, I used the coordinating dies to die cut everything out and set the images aside.

I used the Shadowbox Card dies with some Mermaid Cardstock to create the card base. then I used Distress Inks to add some color and dimension to the background of the scenes.
I used Blueprint Sketch and a little Peacock Feathers with white acrylic ink splatters for the sky. then I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine needles for the ground and hills inside the card.

it was SOOOO fun to decorate inside, outside and all around of the shadowbox card - which I think is my favorite reason to create a shadow box card. well that, and it's SO easy!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black licorice cardstock.

hello!
today I have this cute-ily, spook-ily fun halloween-themed card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about monochromatic! and this time, I chose all things purple! I know, I surprised myself! lol

these ghosts from Booyah are the curest thing, and some of my all time favorite images! I stamped and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out! once the images were dry, I used a white gel pen to add details!
all of the ghost images were popped up with foam tape.

I used a white panel of cardstock and did some ink blending with Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavendar. then I used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils with white embossing paste to add some texture to the purple sky!

I heat embossed the sentiment on white cardstock, as well, and then used the same purples to add ink blending to match the sky. the banner was also popped up with foam tape.

orchids!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
and I'm using my favorite flower - orchids!

I love orchids because there are literally any color combination you would want to use to color them!
I stamped the images from Orchids three times and then die cut them out. I used pinks and beiges to color these images in.

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to ink blend most of the background. then I used the same colors but on top of the Quatrefoil Stencil with more pressure to add the tone-on-tone look!
once it was done, I splattered white acrylic ink on top of all of the images and the background.

I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut around it.
the sentiment and all of the flowers were popped up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #183 - Monochromatic

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

what a fun challenge this time - monochromatic!

 

LOVED the idea of picking a color and getting creative!

 

so fun, right?
clearly, I chose yellows and the yellow family for my card!
I stamped the images from Fox Costumes Before 'n Afters, Party Animal, You're a Keeper and Hive Five. all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and then die cut out.
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

 

 

for the background, I used the Corner Rainbow Stencils and various shades of yellows in Distress Oxide Inks (Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Antique Linen)
then I also used the Honeycomb Stencil with some white embossing paste to add some texture and another nod to those sweet bees!

 

I splattered some of the ink color around the honeycomb texture paste. then I added the images by popping up the fox, balloon, speech bubble and hive with foam tape!

I am in love with this sweet, and slightly silly scene!

I stamped the image and then colored it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. then I die cut out the images with the coordinating dies.

I used the Basic Frames Die Set for the background, and used the Sunscape Stencil with Yellow Distress Inks (Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade) to emphasize the glow of the tree! then I splattered some white acrylic ink in top!
the entire scene was then placed onto some cardstock from the Love & Meows paper pad!

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto white cardstock, and then die cut it out with the Speech Bubbles Die Set. I used Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold) to add some color to mimic the red baubles on, and around, the tree!

I am totally in love with these yummy coffee images!! (even though I don't drink coffee!!! ha! all my loved ones do, and I just images they're hot cocoa!)

looooove it!
I used the Frames & Tags die set, and die cut it out with some forest green cardstock.

I used a nice neutral, soft beige for the background. then I used the Music Stencil and some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to add a subtle tone-on-tone look! I also used the Petite Snow Stencil and some white embossing paste along the corners and edges!

 

all of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I also added some details with a white gel pen. 

 

 

I stamped the sentiment in an ombre of greens to tie in the frame, and it was complete!

my card today is sweet and simple!

I stamped the images from the Holiday Postage Sampler Stamp Set and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
then I added some details with a white gel pen and die cut them out with the coordinating dies!

 

then I die cut out the Postage Stamp Layout die from white cardstock. I did some ink blending with Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Lost Shadow and Iced Spruce on each of the rectangles that were die cut out. so fun!!

 

 

I stamped the 'Ho Ho Ho' sentiment two times, and then did the postage mark in the top corner! each of the images were popped up with foam tape - so fun!

I finished the card off with a few star sequins around the images!
