feline better card!

hello!
today I have this card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and it's sending you sweet get well wishes and vibes during this cold season!

I used the adorable Newton's Sick Day stamp set. all of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out.

I used the Circle Frames Die Set and to create a stencil. then I did some ink blending with Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress Inks. I used the Petite Paw Prints stencil on top of the stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure when ink blending, to add a subtle tone-on-tone look!

I die cut out two speech bubbles with the Speech Bubbles Die Set and ink blending with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I heat embossed the sentiment in white and popped it up with some foam tape.
I also stamped some of the smaller get well images from the set with the same colors as the circle along the side of the card base.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #182 - Sightseeing

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

what a fun twist on a challenge! sightseeing!

I had so much fun thinking of where I would want to travel, and I finally settled on an old-fashioned road trip!! my (not so little anymore!) Menn have a goal to visit all 50 states before they graduate highschool - so we've been doing a lot of road trippin' lately!

I stamped the images from Car Critters and Party Animal, and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I die cut them out with the coordinating dies and added some details with a white gel pen.

 

for the background, I die cut out muliple hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to add ink blending to the hills. then I die cut out the street with the On the Road die cuts!
I also used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers for the sky.

then I heat embossed the sentiment from Party Animal in white onto Black Licorice cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!
