beach day with kittens!

hello and happy Monday!
today, I am spending it at the beach, and I thought it would be fitting to create a card with some playful kittens at the beach, too! this card is up on the Newton's Nook blog, too!

I used the adorable images from Kitten Beach! all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies!
I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen.  I just love those adorable tabbies playing in the sand!

for the background, I used a piece of paper as a mask, and ink blended with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina Distress Inks. then I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks to ink blend the sand. I used a large, dry brush and some white acrylic ink to create the waves crashing in the background.

then I used the Clouds Stencil and some Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed to create the warm sky!
the sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then fissy cut around it.
