scrapbook layout - kitties!

hello!
today I have a layout using the the beautiful new Springtime Paper pad...as well as the new Petite Paw Prints Stencil, up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

I covered my white cardstock in gesso, and then once it was dry, I used various dark blue watercolors to create some color! then once that was dry, I used white embossing paste and the new stencil to add some texture!

for the rays, I cut the two yellowy papers from the paper pad pack and then stitched them with my sewing machine and roughed up the edges!
I also used some thin strips from the Love & Meows paper pad in the light grey heart pattern!

I die cut out the the clouds from the Sky Scene Builders Die Set from my **favorite** sheet of the new patterned paper! I popped them up with foam tape for some dimension.
then I splattered some white acrylic ink over the whole layout!

 

I love how it came out!
