today is kicking off the Newton's Nook Designs January release!!
I am not kidding when I tell you that the sets this month are fabulous! I can't wait for everyone to see the whole release!
today the whole team is showing off the Woodland Duos stamp set! it is SOOOO adorable, and BONUS, it coordinates PERFECTLY with the perviously released Darling Hearts Die! score!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on January 20th, right here!
for my 1st card, i used the adorable, and super sweet raccoons! :)
eeek! i love them! i colored my images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out! EASY!
the background was created by doing some Distress Ink blending with Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers and flicking some water on top! once it was all dry, i added some diagonal stripes with embossing paste and a stencil!
i heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some dark grey cardstock, and the stitched it on with my sewing machine!
my 2nd card was created with the ADORABLE foxes!! seriously, i think theyr'e SO cute!
again, i colored them with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut them out!
i added a little bit of watercolor to the background with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed! I added some light grey sequins, too! the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some vellum, which i adhered over the image! love it!

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are adorable, but those foxes are really stealing my heart! I really like how you used the distress inks in the background of both to pop the image, and the embossing paste through the stencil in the first card. I get so many great ideas from following you and it really helps me improve as a card maker, so thank you very much.
