sneaky little squirrels

hello!!
today I have this cute little card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the current challenge is all about critters on summer vacation! adorable!
this time, my card focused on a fun summer night camp out!

see? sneaky little squirrels are having a good time! lol!
I stamped the images from Critters in the Forest, Let's Go Nuts and S'More the Merrier! they were all colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out!
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and a little bit of Black Soot. then I used some white acrylic ink and gold paint to add the stars.
I also used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the ground, which were all die cut with white cardstock using both the Stitched Hillside Borders and Grassy Border dies.

I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape.

you're a pretty bug deal

hopefully everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and guess what? I also have a video of this card for you to enjoy!

I used the new Simply Celebrate More Critters stamps and dies! and I combined them with the adorable A Bug Deal stamps and dies!
all of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out. I also added some white details with the white gel pen.

I die cut out the tree canopy with the Puffy Cloud Borders, the hills from the Stitched Hillside Borders and the grass from the Grassy Border dies all from white cardstock. then I used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron for the tree tops. I used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers for the hills and grass!
I also used a piece of white cardstock cut to a card base and used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. I attached this piece to the inside of the card base.

then I cut the top of the card base, and attached a piece of acetate cut to the size of the card base to the top flap of the card.
then I attached the tree tops on top of the acetate, as well as the grass and hills.
I also attached all of the critters on top, except for the two butterflies.

I attached the two butterflies inside the card, and heat embossed the rest of the sentiment in white inside the card, hidden until it's open.
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then popped up with foam tape on the front of the card.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #151 - Summertime Fun

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

critters...on a summer vacation?! I'm in!!
this could be one of the easiest challenges! lol!

 

these bears are all set for a fun beach day!
I stamped and colored the images from Pool Party, On the Beach, Snow Much Fun and Den Sweet Den. then I used a white gel pen to add a few details!

 

 

I used Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the sand shore. then I used white acrylic ink and brown inks to add a sandy texture! then I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon for the ocean! I also used the white acrylic ink and a big dry brush to add the sea foam texture.
the scene was die cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders!

 

 

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.

hello and happy Monday!
it's the start of a new week, and I'm kicking it off with a fun card on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

so fun, right?
I used the super fun and festive Fireworks Stencil! I used Distress Inks in lots of rainbow colors with the stencil, then I removed the stencil and used the same colors around the fireworks! then I placed the stencil back on top and used some sparkly embossing paste around the insides of the fireworks! such a fun little touch!

I stamped and colored the images from Love Bots with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! and of course they had to be colored with rainbow colors, too! it's a party! ha!

to create the sentiment I combined phrase from Newton's 4th of July with the 'beep boop' that was die cut with the Essential Alphabet Die Set!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #150 - Botantical Photo Inspiration

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

oh wow - these images are so beautiful and so fun!
I was inspired, especially, by the bright purpley-pink flower in the bottom right corner!

so fun!
I used the images from Gleeful Gardens, Hive Five and Fairy Friends! so cute! I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then I added details with a white gel pen!

 

 

for the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves and watercolored a loose (VERY loose) C shaped wreath! once it was dry, I used the Fall Leaves Background Stencils and some white embossing paste to add texture around the wreath.
once that was dry, I added the flowers!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto white cardstock and then fussy cut out! then I used Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to add the color around it!
the snails and the sentiment were popped up with foam tape.
