thinking of you (floral) card!

hello and happy Monday!

today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog!
it's floral-y and fun and bright and happy!

I used the Orchids Stamp Set and colored the images wtih Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I love orchids, they're my favorite flower for a bunch of reasons. but one of those reasons is because of the many, many color varieties they come in!!
this time, I decided to color them bright pink!

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles, then used the new Trailing Leaves Stencil with the same colors, but more pressure to add the tone-on-tone look! love that subtle background! the orchids were attached with foam tape, and then I splattered white acrylic link over the entire thing!

I heat embossed the sentiment from Floral Roundabout Stamp Set in white onto some black cardstock. then I used the Banner Trio Die Set to die cut it out!
I placed it on top of the entire card to finish it off!

buzzin' along with Lawn Fawn

hello and happy Sunday!
today I have a fun card with the new Lawn Fawn Mini-Release and BONUS: I have a video for it, too!!

I created a fun, interactive birthday card with these adorable bees...and one imposter bee! ha!
he's just so cute swinging back and forth!

that fox dressed up as a bee is just TOO cute, and I just love him frolicking with this little bee buddies!
I stamped and colored the images from the new Hive Five stamp set and the older Fox Costumes Befores 'n Afters with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the background of the scene, I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass, which I had die cut out from white cardstock with the Grassy Borders die set.

I also die cut out some clouds with the Puffy Cloud Borders, too!
I used a strip of acetate, attaching it to the scene with a mini brad, which will allow the acetate to swing back and forth.
Then I attached the fox image and you can see him gliding through the air with his bee buddies, happy as can bee!

I added in some Lost Shadow Distress Ink with some white embossing paste to create a soft grey color. then I used the new Honeycomb Stencil along the edges of the card base for some subtle texture!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and it's all about those dies!

this Flamingo Floatie is the cutest thing ever - and I had so much fun bringing it to life!

I used white cardstock to die cut everything. I added color to everything with Distress Inks.
For the area surrounding the pool, I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber and then splattered the colors on top to add a gritty-like texture. And I also sprinkled white acrylic ink on top.


Once the flamingo from Flamingo Floatie was ink blended with Dried Marigold and Picked Raspberry, I used my white gel pen to add some details to make it look shiny!
I also attached the flamingo to the card with an action wobbler so it can swivel and bob around! so fun!


For the pool water, it was die cut with the Stitched Pond set. then, I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina and just splattered it with water to add some texture.


I die cut out the letters with Henry’s ABCs and then popped them up with foam tape! I kept the sentiment ‘flowing’ around the edge of the pool to give it a nod to the pun of the sentiment itself (go with the flow). Love it!

today's card is so fun and happy!

I loooooove how this card came out!
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I also added some details with a white gel pen.
the main image was popped up with foam tape, and the tiny leaves were added without foam tape around the image, too!

I used the new Trailing Leaves stencil with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. then I also added some flock in dark and light green to a few of the images!! SOOOO FUN!!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white directly onto the card.

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Birdhouse Greetings + Coordinating Die, Birdhouse Line Stencil

hello and welcome to day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs release week!

and I had a BLAST creating today's cards.

my first card uses the new Birdhouse Greetings stamps and dies. 

yay!
I loooooove how this card came out!
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! and of course - rainbow!!! lol!
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I used the Clouds stencil with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to create the look of a canopy of trees! (at least that was my goal! lol!)
then I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the ground. I also splattered the same colors on top to add the sandy/dirt-like ground texture.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto back cardstock and then fussy cut out. and then I splattered some fine black acrylic ink on top of everything!

 

my 2nd card uses the sweet Birdhouse Line Stencil!
and I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to make it!

I used Distress Inks in a rainbow of colors here!
first I used them with the stencils with a ton of pressure. then I used the same colors to ink blend the rest of the card.

 

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto vellum and then die cut it out with the Banner Trio Die Set. the sentiment is from the Heartfelt Butterflies stamp set.

 

the card is basically very simple, but with the combination of the rainbow and sweet stenciled images, it's so pretty!

I love these images, and just WAIT until you see what the rest of the team created, WOW!!

I think this card came out so sweet!
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I cut a long, skinny triangle off the front of my card. then I used the Tree Rings stencil and some white embossing paste on the cardbase. so that sticks out behind the cut card front.
then I placed the succulents all along the edge of the triangle!
some of the images were popped up with foam tape, and some placed under the edge!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto back cardstock and then fussy cut out. and then I splattered some fine black acrylic ink on top of everything!

so excited to start this week with the Newton's Nook Designs May release!

unfortunately, I don't have a Hot Foil machine, but that did NOT stop me from playing with these amazing, FUN, cool and unique products!
i used the products and DRY EMBOSSED THEM! wow!

oh my gosh, right?!
I mean, first of all, it's a totally different look for me, no black or high contrasts. but I LOVE the soft white and the details of these dies/plates!  

I used Disterss Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina along with Squeezed Lemonade to create the glow-y background!
then I used the Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed some gold paint to splatter along the glow! looooove that look!

I finished off by die cutting the background with the Frames & Flags Die set!
