hey there foxy

hello there!!
today, i'm over on the create a smile blog again!
all month long we're doing a collaboration with wycinanka, and let me tell you, these products are AMAZING!!

i had never heard of this poland-based company before, but i'm SO glad to know them now!
they have stencils, wood veneers, chipboards...just everything! it's so awesome!

today i'm sharing a card i made using one of their stencils

i LOVE it!
i added color around the stencil with watercoloring, believe it or not! the colors are broken china and peacock feathers distress inks. i smooshed the ink pads onto the kraft mat and then used a big brush to watercolor the ink on! i had to be careful not to go under the stencil, but even if i did in places (*whistle*), it's watercolor, so messy is better! ha ha!

anyway, the fox and sentiment are from friends in the woods (love that set!), and i watercolored the fox with distress markers and popped him up over a field of vellum grass! people - i thought i could get away without using vellum on a card...fail. perhaps next card! (but don't hold your breath!)

so that's my card!
head over to the create a smile stamps blog and read all about it again, if you want! lol!
and while you're at it - try out for the guest designer challenge!

enjoy!
