hello!
today I'm sharing a card I have up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about summertime fun, and that's all I needed to know so I could make a card about seashells and the beach!
I started by stamping the images from How You Bean? Seashell Add-on. then I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I decided to do the shells in lots of various shades of pinks! one they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I used Distress Inks to ink blend the beachy background!
for the ground, I used Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber. then I splattered the same colors on top, as well as white acrylic ink.
for the waves, I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers. then I used some more white acrylic ink and a dry brush and tapped on the 'foam' of the wave! so fun!! it's my favorite beachy card technique!
I used the Sandy Beach Accents to add that extra special detail to the beach, and hidden shells.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white and onto some Black Licorice Cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.
I finished off the card with a sprinkling of clear sequins along the waterline and on some shells! so pretty!
be sure to check out this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog and play along!
enjoy!
