hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and guess what? even more exciting, I have a video to share! you can watch it here or on my youtube channel!
so fun!
I used a bunch of new products with the an older interactive die!
and guess what...no coloring! allllllll Distress Ink blending! so cool!
I used the new Critters in the Desert stamp set and Critters in the Desert Coloring Stencils!
I have to be honest - these Coloring Stencils are game changers! LOVE them! it combines my LOVE of ink blending with my LOVE of coloring!! it's literally a Sam match made in heaven! lol!
I stamped the images and then did LOTS of ink blending!
roadrunners: Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Spiced Marmelade
cacti: Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Vintage Photo
tumbleweeds: Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold
fox: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Saltwater Taffy
scorpion: Black Soot, Lost Shadow
cake and candles: Fossilzed Amber, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed
rock: Vintage Photo
I also did LOTS of ink blending for the rest of the card!
I used Seedless Perserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the sky. then I splattered some white acrylic ink on top to mimic stars for the sunset-y/dusk-y sky.
I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the ground!
I loved the idea of using the Flippin' Awesome dies to create a scene that makes it looks like the roadrunner is speeding by! perfect for a 'belated' birthday theme card!
I used the cacti in the same place on each square, and moved the roadrunner a little to the right on each square to create the movement look! I hope it comes through!
and then it's SO fun that he arrives at the birthday party with his desert friends!
I'm a sucker for a card that can tell a story and the Flippin' Awesome die is PERFECT for that!
