have a paw-some birthday!

hi there!
today I'm back with another card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
and it's another birthday card! (I feel like I'm stocking up for the year! woooo!)

love this little pup!! he cracks me up!
I stamped the puppy, hat, and bone images from Puppy Playtime, and the balloons are from Fabulous Frenchies!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies!

for the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio! then I used the Pawprints Stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure on the ink blending tool, to add the pawprints in the background! such a subtle but fun addition!

the image seriously cracks me up, because he has the bone in his mouth, and he's looking back at you like...ooops, busted! ha!!
finally, I heated the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock and that is the card!
