Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Fetching Friendship

happy tuesday!
today is the start of June release week with Newton's Nook Designs! i just LOVE release weeks!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, super happy and adorable Fetching Friendship stamp set! don't you just LOVE this set? they are definitely some of the cutest puppy images i've seen!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 18th, right here!

for my first card, i was inspired by one the tiny companion images in the set: the tennis ball!

so i made my card tennis ball shaped! ha!
i just used a circle die to cut the initial ball shape. then i cut the green patterned paper gain with the circle die, to create those 'lemon' type shapes out of the green paper! i just positioned them against the white base so it would have a white border, and easy peasy: a tennis ball!

i colored that adorable lab with copics and popped him up!

i also used some wink of stella and glossy accents for the puppy paw! and i couldn't resist adding coodinating green splatters to the ball! sue me! ha!

on to my 2nd card!
i tried to make a black lab, as best i could, anyway!
i watercolored him with Distress Markers and then popped him up against that background!

the background was made by randomly stamping the paw print and then adding some pops of watercolor with various Distress Inks!

i heat embossed the sentiment onto some vellum, and it was the perfect place to sit the lab on!
