i got you babe

hey there!
i'm pretty sure i mentioned in my post earlier this week about how much i LOVE the inspiration photo for the current mama elephant challenge

here it is again, in all it's clean, simple, pops of color glory:

like i said, i could make 100 cards from that photo! and here is my 2nd card!

so fun, right? I LOVE IT!

i used a stencil and some embossing paste to create the background. and once the embossing paste was dry, i very carefully, used distress paints and painted on some color with a tiny brush to some of the trianges!

the sentiment is from the true friend stamp set (BEST SENTIMENTS EVER) and i stamped it on vellum and then wrapped it around the base panel.

the feathers...they're from the smitten stamp set! LOVE that chunky little feather! i used my sewing machine to attach the them.
i clear embossed it onto vellum and then use a craft knife to cut all the little notches!

lots of detail work on this card! ha ha!
add a dash of circle wood veneers and the card is complete! i couldn't LOVE it more! i hope you do too!

  1. OHHHHHHH! I love the triangles with the stitched feathers--- love the vellum and the sentiment! LOVE LOVE LOVE! You nailed this photo inspiration----FABULOUSLY done, Samantha! LOOOOOOOOOOOVE <3

  2. This card is beautiful! You captured the photo perfectly! Love the subtle tones and different textures...gorgeous!

  3. How cool is that? I absolutely love how you selectively colored the triangles! Awesome, for sure:)
