time to soar!

hello!
today I have this beautiful card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
my bestie's daughter is graduating from college next month, and so I decided to make this card for her!

LOVE it!
she's all about earth tones and butterflies and purple, so that's what I worked with! lol!
nailed it!
I heat embossed the pretty image from the Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set in white onto white cardstock. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender.
then I fussy cut around the border.

I also die cut out the heart behind it with the Heart Frames Die Set from vellum.
for the next layer, I did more ink blending with greens!
I used Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. then I used some clear embossing paste and the Butterflies Stencil Set to add another subtle layer. once it was all dry, I die cut it out with the Frames Squared Die Set.

I used Walnut Stain onto some kraft cardstock and the Tree Rings Stencil for the card base. and I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto black cardstock, and then die cutting it out with the wavy banner from A7 Frames & Banners Die Set
