hi there!
today I am excited to share a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and guess what that means - I also have a video to go along with it!
you can check it out here or on my youtube channel!
I used the new Rainbow Sentiments and Over the Rainbow die set, which I combined with the older Year Eleven, Out of this World and Party Animal stamp sets.
all of the images were stamped and then watercolored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out.
I used acetate for the rainbow portion of the die, and I'M IN LOVE WITH THAT! I used alcohol inks to add color. and I made sure that the alcohol ink side of the acetate faces down on the card.
then I set it aside to extra dry. lol
while the acetate was set aside, I did lots of ink blending!
I used Distress Inks in Black Soot, Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I made my own stencil using the Puffy Cloud Borders, and die cutting them out of some white cardstock.
I used the same ink colors, but with more pressure to add the subtle tone-on-tone cloud look. then I splattered white ink all over all of the pieces to mimic the look of faraway stars.
I hid the sun under the top of the pull tab, and then heat embossed another fun sentiment underneath! what fun this die is!!!!
I also added the 'earth-like' planet and its' moon onto the acetate rainbow itself so it moves along with the rainbow!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock and then added to the bottom of the card.
be sure to check this card out on the Lawn Fawn blog, and to watch my video!
it's a lot of inky-rainbowy fun!
enjoy!
