hi there!
today I have a cart up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about those sweet, cute and happy holiday critters, so this time, I decided to make a card with the adorable penguins!
I stamped and colored the images from Penguin Party and Toboggan Together and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I thought it would be so fun to try something different and make the penguins bright and happy in yellow! so fun!
I added some details with a white gel pen to finish them off!
I die cut out the frame from Peekaboo Backdrop in white and then popped it up with foam tape. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to add color to the square and rectangle windows for the winter sky. then I splattered some white acrylic in on top to mimic snow!
I also used the Stitched Hillside Borders to die cut out some hills of snow for behind the frame. I added a very light blending of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the tops so the hills would match the blue tint of the snowballs and snowcones.
I finished the card off by popped up some of the penguins, and then sprinkling some silver sequins around the adorable winter scene!
be sure to play along and check out the challenge on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
enjoy!
