Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Birthday Essentials Stamp Set

oh my gosh, we made it!
it's the final day of Newton's Nook Designs March release!

and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! it's so celebratory and FUN!
today we're showing off the Birthday Essentials Stamp Set
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on March 16th, right here!

here's my first card:

this card isn't my usual style, but I still love how bright and cheerful it is!
I inked the main sentiment up with a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks and stamped it at the top of the card!

I used a light grey ink to repeatedly stamp my favorite of the phrases and a tiny heart! then added some fun to the card with the rainbow washi and coordinating enamel dots!

for my second card, I went back to Distress Ink blending...!

eeek! it turned out so fun!
I stamped most of the phrases in pinks, reds, oranges and yellows (all Distress Oxide Inks) and then used the coordinating Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend over top!

love how bright and colorful it us! to finish it off, I splattered some white acrylic ink and water around the ink blended area! then added white card front panels to the top and bottom!

and who doesn't love some sequins to finish a card off?!

  9. Great cards Samantha. I've got to try using a variety of sentiments to make a background like this. That is not something I ever think to do, but I like it when I see it!
