Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release - Holiday Wishes

bring on the next set in newton's nook holiday release!

today's set is so pretty and SO versitle! and it works perfectly with their previously released winged wishes stamp set! this new set will be ready for purchase october 18th here! :)
i really am loving both of these cards today!

my first one reminds me of a rustic, woodsy christmas!

i used some embossing paste and a stencil to create the background (LOOOOOVE that!).
i added a bit of natural twine and some pearls to compliment the wood veneer bird and the perfect, wonderful christmas sentiment! you can create SO many unique christmas sentiments with this set!! i LOVE it!

my next card was really easy to make! and i LOVE the result! i heat embossed the sentiment onto some realistic looking wood paper. the bright white pop of the sentiment is so crisp and FUN!

then i created a banner with two strips of glitter tape! which i thing goes so well with the sentiment! then i had this really FUN globe sticker in my stash and i think the colors just work so well together! LOVE this!

  1. Very nice! I like that these aren't overly "holiday". More possibilities that way! ;)

  2. These are terrific! I really like your adorable wood birdie perched on top of that pretty sentiment and the embossed background with the randomly, yet perfectly placed pearl accents. And that wood paper in the second card is spectacular - I love it! (GREAT idea using two strips of tape to create the look of a banner - I will have to remember that!!) Peace cards are my favorite, they are great for everyone no matter which holidays they celebrate!
