so the saying, 'if friends were noses, i'd pick you' has been stuck in my head ever since i came up with the idea for this card in my head! :) luckily, i don't have a nose stamp, so apples it is! :)
i made this card for the latest challenge at the lawnscaping challenge: paper piecing! i love to paper piece! and not just because i don't have the knowledge or skills to color up these adorable images with copics! ha ha! on a side note: i am seriously jealous of you all out there that create these ridiculously adorable images with copics! i love the way it looks!
but as it is, i still do love the look of paper piecing! (lucky for me!) anyway, the winner gets to be a guest designer for the next challenge...could that be more exciting!!
i used three different lawn fawn stamp sets (again!) for this challenge, my sweet valentine, critters in the burbs and harolds abc's. :) i stamped the tree 'leaves' portion onto green felt, to give it some lushness-appeal! :) and then i stamped the apples and popped them up for some more dimension. i like the giant yellow circle as the sentiment, becuse it's like a warm and welcoming sun with a pleasant message! ha ha! that was my idea anyway! :)
i also made one of the apples into a girl, tee he! for the 'grass' i used some super fuzzy and funky ribbon that danielle at girlracer scrap had given me a while ago! i think it works perfectly for grass! i mean, come on, could this card get more textural! :)

i hope you find the card as happy and cheerful as i do!
enjoy!
