hello and happy Monday!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and it's giving me summer rainforest vibes! lol!

so fun, right?!
I stamped and colored in the butterflies from the Monarchs stamp set. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also die cut out some vellum and used my sewing machine to stitch the two together!

for the background, I used some dark blue cardstock. then I used the Transfer Duo gel and the Tropical Leaves stencil. once the gel was dry, I used flock in greens and teals to add texture and color! I love the bold jewel tones!

I die cut out the sentiment using the Essential Alphabet Die Set and then glued the butterflies to the background!

these cherry blossoms are so beautiful!

 

 
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top! I stamped and colored and cut the image 3 times.

for the background, I used black cardstock and used the Deco Foil Duo Gel with the Petite Flowers stencil. once it was dry and tacky, I used some black flock on top to add the amazing, and fun tone-on-tone texture.

I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.

today's card is so fun and happy!

I loooooove how this card came out!
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I also added some details with a white gel pen.
the main image was popped up with foam tape, and the tiny leaves were added without foam tape around the image, too!

I used the new Trailing Leaves stencil with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. then I also added some flock in dark and light green to a few of the images!! SOOOO FUN!!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white directly onto the card.

all the pumpkins!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog! and I'm feeling all the fall feels!

so pretty!
I used some Transfer Duo Gel and the Jack-o'-lantern Stencil Set! once it was dry, I used 2 different shades of pink foil (Pink Melon and Pink Quartz) and 2 different flocks in shades of pink (Pink Carnation and Think Pink).
once the pumpkins were done, I used some gold embossing paste for the stems!

I also die cut some leaves from pink cardstock with the Autumn Leaves die set! the sentiment is from Newton's Pumpkin Patch. it was heat embossed onto a banner using the Banner Trio Die Set.

I finished off the card with a sprinkle of gold sequins!
I love the shine and texture of this card!

my first card uses the adooooorable new Christmas Tree Line Stencil Set!

I used the stencil and the Deco Foil Transfer Gel to create this repeated problem! once it was all dry, I used various shades of foil and flock in greens to add the different textures and shine! so FUN!!!!

I also used gold embossing paste for the tree trunks! it's not too distracting from the rest of the trees, and it adds a fun shade!

the sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum. then die cut using the Banner Trio Die Set! I finished off the card with some star sequins! the sentiment is from Heartfelt Holidays!

 

my next card uses the adooooorable Holiday Heights stamp set! 

I'm so in love with it! 

I stamped and colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the coordinating die to die cut it out! so fun!

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. then I used the Petite Snow Stencil and some white embossing paste to add to the winter scene!

I also die cut out the trees from the Forest Scene Builder Die Set, and then used Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Black Soot to mimic the way I colored the tree in the stamped image! then I splattered some white acrylic ink on top of the trees and placed them on the card!

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Collaboration Week 2022!

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! 

All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps!
There are prizes too!

I made two cards for this fun occasion!

my first card uses foil and flock along with the Pineapple Stencil Set!
for the background, I used 2 different yellow alcohol inks - LOVE that fresh summery feel!

I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo through the first layer of the stencil, and then used my new favorite foil - OPAL!! love how that looks for the pineapples! once that was all dry and foiled, I used the same gel with the second layer of the stencil - then I used Enchanted Rose Foil and Pink Carnation Flock for the tops! so fun!

I used the Essential Alphabet Dies to accentuate part of the sentiment! part of some pinks and purples in alcohol inks are popped through! so summery!

lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment rest of the sentiment from Tropical Fringe stamp set!

my second card also uses Opal Foil, Enchanted Rose Foil as well the Wild Cherry Foil and Spring Green Foil!

so fun! and the colors of the foil pop!
I used the same gel onto some white cardstock, then used the foil sheets! once it was all transfered, I die cut out the various shapes with the Hibiscus Die Set!

I popped up the flowers with foam tape to add some dimension! but first I used the Tropical Leaves stencil and white embossing paste to add texture!

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Seashell Roundabout stamp set onto black cardstock, then used the Banner Trio die set to die cut it out!

hoppy halloween!

hello and 'hoppy' Thursday!
today I am sharing too cute to spook Halloween card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

aren't those bunnies adorable?! they're from the Hoppy Halloween stamp set! and bonus: this is one of the sets retiring, you can grab it for a super reduced price! win-win!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I used the the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

I went with some pinks and corals and yellows, so the images would really pop against the background!
and speaking of that background...I used the Pumpkin Patch Stencil with some Duo Transfer Gel! once it was dry, I used black flock to create that eye catching - and FUN TO TOUCH (ha!) background!

I added a strip of vellum, so that images wouldn't get lost on that bold, busy background! then I used the word dies from the Halloween Trio die set! so fun!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Kitten Beach and Beach Barks + coordinating dies

so in love with these new products we're sharing today! day 3 of Newton's Nook Designs' June release!
and there was never a better, more summer-y, wonderful release!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! I'm swooning!

I am totally feeling the summer- vibes with these new products!
my first card uses my favorite set of the release - Kitten Beach!

I started by colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then using the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I also used the Tides of Love stamp set to add some extra crabs to the scene! so fun!

for the background, I did all the ink blending again! lol! I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the water and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand. then I splattered some water all over it. I also splattered some of the brown colors and white acrylic ink on the sand to create the texture.
I also added some white acrylic paint along the shore to mimic some sea spray!

lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment and fussy cut out around it and popped it up!

my second card uses the fun Beach Barks and Retro Sun & Palms stamp set!

I used Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar to add color. then I splattered some water on top!

I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo for the palm trees and birds, then used white flock!! it adds a subtle and fun texture!

I finsihed the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white, and the die cutting out the whole scene with the Frames & Flags die set!
