Sweet Stamp Shop July Release

hello!

it's release day at the Sweet Stamp Shop!!
it's SO exciting! there were SOOOO many amazing stamps released, they're punny, they're cute, they're versatile...totally Sweet Stamp Shop style!!!

i made a couple cards today with the new Miso Happy Stamp set! it's so adorable!!

i colored that cute little image with copics and then popped it up over that fun background and vellum layers!

i swiped my gold ink pad along the base of my card...just like that - swoosh swoosh! easy gold stroke background! then i glued on some black and white tissue paper - yes...tissue paper! i love it!

i just LOVE the cool minty colors with the boldness of the black and white!

my 2nd card is more of an announcement, i guess! not for me!!! no no no - but for someone else possibly expecting a little one!
i combined with with that cute little image from there Just Icons stamp set! soooo cute!! i love the bright, happy colors!

and of course...i had to pun on top of the already adorably cute pun in the stamp set! i used my favorite Outline Lower Alpha stamp set and the Feeling Today stamps sets to create the sentiment! :)

so those are my cards!! be sure to check out the whole release and follow the Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all of the latest and greatest!!

hello and happy friday!

today starts a BRAND NEW Inky Paws Challenge over on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! yay!

and what a perfect match to the NEW RELEASE we just celebrated last week! eek!

i used the new Summer Scoops stamp set to create this fun rainbow of ice pops! mmm!!!! i've said it before, and i'll say it again...rainbows, everytime! ha ha!

i watercolored each ice popsicle with Distress Markers after they were heat embossed in white.
i did the same thing with the balloon from Winston's Birthday! all of the images were popped up with foam tape against that lightly misted in gold background! :) oh, and the sentiment was stamped from In Slow Motion

i finished the card off with some washi strips on the top and bottom in black and white for some major contrast! love it!

so now it's your turn! play along with the Inky Paws Summer Lovin' challenge for your chance to win some Newton's Nook store credit of your own! we really can't wait to see what you make! :)

i paired one of the newly released stamp sets with one of my favorite oldies! :)

all of the images were colored with copics! that cute little oversized ice cream cone is from the new Summer Scoops stamp set! and i even added some glossy accents to that cute little cherry! ha!

the Newton kittly i used for this card is actually from the Newton Dreams of Paris stamp set! love it!! i adhered the whole piece together, and then popped it up on the card for some fun!

the background was sprayed with a mist, one of my favorites - Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Mustard!
then a little triangle washi tape was added to the side of the card! so fun!
i hope it made you giggle!

Lawnscaping Challenge #110 - COLOR (inspired by the rainbow)

yahoo!

today is a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge! yay!! it's my favorite way to start a monday! ha!

and this challenge people...I LOVE IT!!

see? rainbows!!! yay!!! i'm so excited!
i was extra happy with this challenge, so i decided to go BIG - instead of a card, i went with a 12x12 layout! fun!

eek! i just LOVE how his came out!
I used some frames from my stash and layered them in a loose R-O-Y-G-B-I-V scheme down the side of my layout. then i covered everything in clear gesso!
once it was dry, i added some watercoloring with distress inks, and then embellished in a color-match-y way! looooooove! i also added some stars with texture paste and my favorite star stencil ever

that cute little photo is from this spring, when my little Mann (dressed as the Hulk, naturally...) picked and blew on a dandelion in our yard! so sweet! see guys? it's the softer side of superheros! :)

anyway, i used my favorite cloud images from the Starry Backdrops stamp set in a diagonal fashion. they're all stamped on vellum and then stitched to the layout. i also used the Milo's ABC's set for the date! :)

oh! and i thought that cute little heart swooooosh from Bugs and Kisses would be perfect since he 'blowing' in that direction! :)

lastly, i added some of the stars from the Stars Wood Veneers Lawn Ornaments. :)
for even more inspiration (if you can stand it!), check out the lawnscaping facebook page! we're dedicated to keeping your creative juices flowing! :)

this week we're sponsored by lawn fawn! so get your card making on, and you could win a stamp set of your choice! :)

You are going to love all the fun inspiration they're sharing using Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps

i can't believe Newton's Nook is already celebrating 2 years in this industry!! it's so exciting!!!!!
i created this AWESOME message in a bottle shaker card to celebrate!!!

i just LOVE the sentiments in the Message In a Bottle stamp set! they're SO encouraging and inspirational!
perfect for this occasion!!

i stamped and colored that bottle, and even did a little masking with the cork! oh - and when i die cut the shaker part, i even partial die cut the cork on top of the bottle - be impressed people! i'm NO partial die cutter! it usually scares me! ha!

then i took some scrap white cardstock and rolled it up as the message!!
the background paper is some AWESOME map paper! i lightened up the edges by painting on a THIN layer of gesso - just cause!

and the sentiment was stamped onto some crumbled up vellum! fun!!

it's the last day of Newton's Nook Designs July release! but never fear...there's still more fun to be had this week!! he he!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, awesomely nautical Message in a Bottle stamp set and die! YES! that's right, another stamp and die combo!! SO cool!!

this set was just TOO perfect not to scrapbook one of my favorite memories of this summer, so far!

ok guys, i just HAAAAAAD to create this little ship in the bottle as a shaker card!! i HAD to!!

i colored in that ship with copics, and then used lots of different shapes and things to create the 'water' part of the shaker card!

i used some embossing paste a fun chevron stencil to add just a little bit of interest to the card front. the sentiment was stamp by coloring the sentiment with distress marker! hello - that was FUN!
i seriously already have like 5 other cards made with this set - I LOVE IT!

but i'm only sharing one other today! ha!

this time, i wanted to use that octopus, because guys, that 'kraken' sentiment KRAKs me up! ha ha! i LOVE it!!
i just sent it to my twin brother for his birthday, actually!

i stamped the octopus a few times along the background (on watercolor paper), then used some watercolored distress inks to add the loose color!

the anchors were die cut, and then i added glossy accents to them!
i love me some anchors! :)

Newton's Nook Designs July Release - Summer Scoops

let the release continue with Newton's Nook Designs! it's day 2, and it's JUST as exciting as day 1!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, super summery and adorable Summer Scoops stamp set! don't you just LOVE this set? i LOVE this set!! all of these summer time treats are adorable! i love the little heart accents, too!!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 17th, right here!
this set was just TOO perfect not to scrapbook one of my favorite memories of this summer, so far!

we were in Michigan earlier this summer visiting our best friends and the kids played and had a TON of fun at a local park! afterwards, we went back to their house for some popsicles! YUM!

to create this background, i heat embossed the cute popsicles (and that PERFECT sentiment!) in white embossing powder and then watercolored over top with Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold Distress Inks!

i LOVE how the watercolor is supposed to look like the melted popsicles! he he!

i also added some embelishments and layers and then stitched on the title and other elements! because i almost CAN'T do a layout without stitching! ha!

my 2nd project is a card!

i used those AWESOME icecream cones and heat embossed them on watercolor paper! I used distress markers to colored them in, and them popped them on top of that cool WOOD tag i picked up from the dollar spot at Target! score!

the background is some yellow Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and then I used some embossing paste in circles on top of that! oh, and that super AWESOME black and white mess? that's actually tissue paper! love the texture!

Some Sweet Planner Accessorizing

**this is my 2nd post of the day! to see day 1 of the July Newton's Nook release scroll down, or click here!**

heeeeey! today i have another post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog! yahoooo!
and this one is all about accessorizing your planner!
i used four different Sweet stamp sets: Unicorn, Girl Power, Mush Day and Perfect Panda.

personaly, i only decorate the month spreads of my planner...i don't have time for the weekly pages. and i think, that's ok! i really only do the monthly pages as a form of art journalling, and testing techniques anyway! but i still want color and FUN on my devoid of fun, weekly pages.
enter DIY paper clips!

you know i had to use that unicorn! ha! CUTEST IMAGE EVER! lol!

so head on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to read all about how i made these, and more!
enjoy!

Newton's Nook Designs July Release - Newton's Naptime + Die

happy tuesday!
today is the start of July release week with Newton's Nook Designs! i just LOVE release weeks!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, super happy and adorable Newton's Naptime mini stamp set! don't you just LOVE this set? that sweet little kitty is SO cute on top of those blankets! and guys..this year...Newton's Nook has started to release DIES!!!!! eek!!! i'm SO excited! eeeeeee!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 17th, right here!
for my first card, you know i had to color the blankets in rainbow!!! it was begging for rainbows! ha!

all of the images were colored with copics! and i love that sweet little black and white kitty!
the background of the card was created with texture paste and a stencil and then i just added a strip of black and white graphic washi to one side!

i just LOVE how i didn't have to fussy cut it out - one pass with the die, and it was done!! yay for dies!!!!

and speaking of fussy cutting...you can still do that with dies!
my 2nd card was created by paper piecing and then i still die cut it all out on white cardstock!!

shhhh, that little kitten is too cute to wake up! and he's dreaming! adorable!

i die cut the two sized hearts about 7 times each out of teal foil paper! i also used them with some sequins to create the shaker part of the speech bubble! :)
there's also a slight watercolor background in a warm yellow on the card base!

i left this card blank inside so it can be used for lots of occassions! :)

a sweet little rainbow of coffee

hey there!

me again!
i'm sharing this fun little ditty of a card that uses lots of coffee cups, and lots of Sweet Stamp Shop colored images! :)

because...rainbows, am i right? i LOVE them! and i seem to make a lot of rainbow colored cards, or projects! they're so happy and bright, i just can't stay away from them! :)
so i made this card for the coffee lover in your life! :)

there are as many different types of coffees as there are colors in the rainbow! (maybe more, if we're being honest! lol!)

i used Cuppa Coffee stamp set!
all of the images were colored with copics and popped up over that fun background! i added the types of coffees in stripes of white, and then used some gesso with my finger around the words...for fun!

this card is blank inside, so it can be used for any occasion! can't wait to send it to my favorite coffee lover! :)
enjoy!
