Inky Paws Challenge #38 - Love!

i hope everyone is having a great start to their Friday!
today is the start of a new Inky Paws Challenge on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
and this month, it's a theme challenge!

we want to see what you can do with a loooooooove theme! i can't wait to see all of the creations!
i made a card using the Fetching Friendship stamp set!

i colored that cute little puppy with Distress Markers (shocking, i know!) and then popped him up over that gold background!

the gold watercolor in the background was done with the packaging technique, and some glorious Distress Paint in Antiqued Bronze! it's seriously the best gold watercolor! ha!

the grass is just two strips of washi tape!! love it! it's so easy!

so that's my card!
be sure to head on over to the Newton's Nook blog to find all of the details for playing along with the Inky Paws Challenge!
i sure hope you join and play along!

slow down sloth birthday card

hi hi hi!

today i have a fun card to share!
it's a card i made for my dad's birthday and it's up on the Newton's Nook blog today, too!

i used the super adorable In Slow Motion stamp set! i really LOVE the sloth image! it's so cute!!

i used Distress Markers to watercolor the image and then popped it up over the background! oh, speaking of the background, i used my favorite star sentcil and some modeling paste! once it was dry, i sprayed on a light and also a navy mist to create the sky!

the sentiment was heat embossed in black and a strip of washi down the side finished it off!

be sure to stop by the Newton's Nook blog, too! :)

good afternoon!
all week on the Create a Smile Stamps blog, we're showing cute cute cute projects with the brand new January stamp sets being released on Friday!!

this release...i can hardly contain my excitement! it's AMAZING!!

so amazing, in fact, that i made 2 cards!

my first card uses the cutest get well set EVER - Doctors Helpers!
i watercolored the adorable little nurse mouse with Distress Markers, and then popped it up on the front panel!

on the card front, i used my notebook punch to add some interest to the side, and then watercolored the pills in a rainbow! rainbows always make me feel better! ha!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some black cardstock, and then i added some black and white geographic papers underneath the top and bottom to help the black pop!

my 2nd card was just plain FUN to make!

i did lots of masking and blending with Distress Inks! i used washi tape to mask off some triangles, and then kept it up for the 'sky' and 'grass'! love how it looks!!

the little foxes were also watercolored with Distress Markers, and i just looooove them!
the sentiment was created by combing the new Doctors Helpers set with the new Crystal Letters - Lower stamp set!

the Crystal Letters and Numbers guys...AMAZING!! i LOOOOOOVE them! i'm going to use them alllllllll the time! :) i used some wink of stella on them this time...and oh my goodness! so much awesome!

be sure to stop by the Create a Smile Stamps blog to see Kelly's AMAZING card, too! i honestly love everything she makes!

Hello!

I decided to finally make some scratch offs!
They're REALLY easy to make! All you need is some patterned paper, contact paper, a little dish soap and acrylic paint mix, and of course, your favorite Sweet Stamp Shop stamps!

They are SOOOO fun! And they are really so easy to make! My boys had a blast and were so excited to scratch off a card each morning before school! I am definitely going to make more!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing you day with me!

Sweet Stamp Shop January Release!

hi there!
today is an EXCITING day!
it's the Sweet Stamp Shop January release, and you're going to LOVE it!!!!

the sets being released are so FUN, unique and just typical Sweet Stamp Shop amazingness!

my first card uses the ADORABLE new Gnome set!!! eeeeek!! GNOMES!!!!

ack! i can't get over this set! i love it so much!
i watercolored the gnomes and mushrooms with my Distress Makers and then fussy cut them out.

i stamped the fence image on the base of my card and then used a white gel pen to color it in. and oh! the base...i created it with my Ken Oliver Color Bursts...looooooove those! they're literally BURSTS of watercolor! LOVE!

and that scripty sentiment...swoon. love love love!

my second card used the gnome set again, and i also went purple!

i know, purple!!?? right? but see how sweet it is? i masked and stamped both gnomes and then framed it in a 'photo' type of look! the sentiment is just so PERFECT for this kind of card!

i colored the little girl gnome with copics and then added some Seedless Preserves Distress Ink around the edges of the masked background.
i added some white embossing paste with a doily stencil to the base of the card, too! i love the soft feel and texture it adds!

for my last project, i made some sweet, spring tags using the new Kissing Thru Summer stamp set!! it's a PERFECT planner set for spring, but you can also make some adorable cards and tags!!

i just LOVE those bunny kids!!! they're SOOOO Sweet!! and of course the leprachan and little cupid guy are so sweet!!!! love love love them!

i colored the little guys in with copics and then popped them up on their tags! each tag was colored to the 'event' (i.e. green for march, pink for february, etc) with Distress Inks and watercolored. then i stamped the coordinating little icons on the tags!

each tag also has a layer of vellum...because...vellum! :)

so those are my creations for this new January release for the Sweet Stamp Shop!! be sure to follow the Facebook page for the latest news, giveaways and sneak peaks for February too!
enjoy!

see? i told you! ha ha!
for my card, i decided to stick with the warm winter theme...so i made a beachy winter card!
