blue skies ahead!

hello there!
today I have this pretty little card up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog!

I seriously am still so in love with these critter umbrellas from the Umbrella Pals stamp set!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out!
I also added some detail work with my white pen!

the background was created with my favorite Distress Ink color combo: Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch!
I splattered some water and color once the ink blending was done!
then I finished off the card with a big puffy white cloud that I die cut with the Sky Borders dies
that little strip of rainbow washi tape was the perfect way to finished it!!

I hope this card made you smile!
be sure to check it out on the Newton's Nook blog, too!
enjoy!

life is better when we binge together

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog

the latest challenge theme is Coffee, Tea and Sweet Treats, so my card is just right! lol!

I used the bears from Party Animals and have them holding the cute to go cups from Love You a Latte! they totally crack me up, because of the sentiment (from Screen Time) and the oversized cups in their cute paws!!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! then I cut little slits along their arms, to put the cup in! doesn't it look like they're clinking their cups?! ha ha! I LOVE it!

The background was ink blended with Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio! then I splattered water and ink colors on top!

be sure to check out the card on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
hope you play along with the latest challenge, too!!

enjoy!

eek! I love it!

I stamped and colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then fussy cut them out!
that cute little squirrel is from the Love You S'More stamp set! and he's the perfect little companion to the bear from Critter Concert!! ha!
those oversized to go cups of coffee are from Love You a Latte!
the sentiment on the black strip of cardstock is from Treat Yourself! so fun!

the background was ink blended with Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberries and Dried Marigold! then I splattered some color on, and used the Snowy Backdrops die to create a stencil, that I used with some white embossing paste!

I just love the subtle stars!

Newton's Nook Designs August Release - Halloween Trio, Candy Corn, and Boo Hoo + coordinating Dies

hi there!
today is the last day of reveals for Newton's Nook Designs August release!

I am super in love with this release!
these sets are so FUN and perfect for the back to school days and Halloween coming up, too!
today we're sharing the classic and so adorable and FUN Halloween Trio, Candy Corn, and Boo Hoo + coordinating dies
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on August 17th, right here!

my first card uses the cute cute Candy Corn stamp set and dies!

I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I also used that frame from the Framework Die Set! I die cut it out 5 times and stacked them together to add some dimension and height!
then, I placed my little candy corns in a happy little procession!

I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers to add color to the background! then splattered some water and ink color too! (my FAVORITE thing to do...)
lastly, I tied a bow around the edge of the frame with some grey and white twine, because...why not? it's fun, and different for me! :)

my second card is fun, and **almost** turned out exactly how I imagined! ha!

I used Boo Hoo and the coordinating dies, as well as the newly released Flying Bats stencil!
I ink blended the circled area in Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber and then added the ink splatters. I die cut out a circle shape from a piece of white cardstock, and then used that over the ink blended panel!
then I used white embossing paste and the bat stencil to add them to the card! LOVE how it goes over the die cut area and beyond! (I picked up that fun idea from Tatiana Trafimovich, check out my inspiration here! it's FREAKING AWESOME!)

then I colored the ghosts 'purple' but I wanted the shine from the 'moon' to reflect through them, so the tops of the ghosts are purple! I tried!! and like I said, it's ALMOST exactly what I envisioned!
oh, and glitter!! ghosts need glitter, right?!

my last card uses the adorable Halloween Trio image...and I LOVE THESE trick or treaters!!

eeeee!
love it!
I used Seedless Preserves, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress inks for the background! SO IN LOVE!
then I sprinkled some water, white acrylic ink and Dried Marigold Distress Ink color on the background, too!

the sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock and then I added some sequins for some sparkle and magic!

you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on August 17th, right here!

my first card uses that cute witch bunny and an older Halloween set - Newton's Boo-tiful Night!

that little bunny just cracks me up!
I LOVE that sentiment, and I just couldn't resit combining it with this witch-y bunny! ha!
I used the Starfield Stencil and some light, light grey embossing paste for the background!
then, I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade for the bottom corner, to add some magic and fun! I also splattered some water and ink color along the blended area!

I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
then, used some stickles to add glitter to the edges of the cloud border I created with the Sky Borders Die!

my second card is bold, bright and probably my favorite of the the release!

eeeee!
love it!
I used Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress inks for the background! SO IN LOVE!
then I sprinkled some water, white acrylic ink and Dried Marigold Distress Ink color on the background, too!

I colored the little candy images in a rainbow (because I have a rainbow-addiction), and LOVE how they look like they spilled out of the pumpkin and the bunny jumped out! ha!
I also added some glossy accents to the jack-o-lantern's face!

hello and salutations!

I am super in love with this release!
these sets are so FUN and perfect for the back to school days and Halloween coming up, too!
today we're sharing the classic and so pretty Fabulous Frenchies + coordinating die
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on August 17th, right here!

my first card uses the super sweet image of the pup sitting and leaning a little to the side!

eeeep! LOVE him so much! and I just LOVE that cute little party hat and large balloon!! he's ready for a birthday, I think!!

I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

I tinted some white embossing powder with light grey ink and then used he Pawprints Stencil to add some texture!
once that was dry, I used Distress Inks (Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers) to add some color to the sky!
I also used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to add some color to that small little hill!

my second card uses that CUTE little french pup and the Eiffel Tower image from Newton Dreams of Paris!

what a perfect match!
guys, I honestly tried NOT to color in rainbow order...but then...the stripes were BEGGING me for it!! lol!!

I die cut some cloud borders with the Sky Borders Die Set, and then used it to mask the background and create the sky with Peacock Feathers Distress Inks!
the hills were created with the Land Border Dies and Distress Ink blended and then splattering in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron! :)
I seriously laugh every time at that "Pardon my french" sentiment!! it's so funny!
