i used the adorable petite set Treats to create this FUN card!!

i can't wait to use send it for a my friend's birthday! but it could have also been an encouragement or congratulations card, too! that's how versatile it is!!

all of the little images were colored with copics and popped up! that viewfinder shape is from a cut file i used with my Silhouette!

i also made this fun little card, because i can't get over how ADORABLE that cooler is!!

i colored it with copics, and popped it up against that textured and watercolored background! i love the soft blues and the red of the cooler! so fun! this Little Cooler set is of my new favorites, for sure!

Inky Paws Challenge - Birthday Theme

hi there!
today is the start of a new Inky Paws Challenge! so exciting!

that's right, this time, we just want to see something birthday related!! and i just LOVE this photo - it totally inspired my card!

i used my distress inks, my finger and some water to create the background! i would dab my finger in a color of ink pad, lightly dab that in water and lightly tap my paper! easy peasy - confetti background! i loooooove how this looks! and it was so fun! i can't wait to try it again!

i used the Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set and colored the images with copics. fun fun!

to finish of the card, i added wink of stella to just some of the 'confetti' in the background, as well as some glossy accents to the present and party hat!
i can't wait to see what you create for this challenge - it's going to be SUCH a fun gallery of products!

be sure to play along for your chance to win some Newton's Nook of your own!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Fetching Friendship

happy tuesday!
today is the start of June release week with Newton's Nook Designs! i just LOVE release weeks!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, super happy and adorable Fetching Friendship stamp set! don't you just LOVE this set? they are definitely some of the cutest puppy images i've seen!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 18th, right here!

for my first card, i was inspired by one the tiny companion images in the set: the tennis ball!

so i made my card tennis ball shaped! ha!
i just used a circle die to cut the initial ball shape. then i cut the green patterned paper gain with the circle die, to create those 'lemon' type shapes out of the green paper! i just positioned them against the white base so it would have a white border, and easy peasy: a tennis ball!

i colored that adorable lab with copics and popped him up!

i also used some wink of stella and glossy accents for the puppy paw! and i couldn't resist adding coodinating green splatters to the ball! sue me! ha!

on to my 2nd card!
i tried to make a black lab, as best i could, anyway!
i watercolored him with Distress Markers and then popped him up against that background!

the background was made by randomly stamping the paw print and then adding some pops of watercolor with various Distress Inks!

i heat embossed the sentiment onto some vellum, and it was the perfect place to sit the lab on!

Lawnscaping Challenge 108 - Stars & Stripes

good morning!

today is a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge! yay!! it's my favorite way to start a monday! ha!

LOVE this!
for my card, i chose not to go 'red white and blue', but i did use lots of stars and stripes!!

i started by heat embossing the stars from Starry Backdrops all over my card base! (it wasn't until i literally FINISHED the card, that i thought...why are there stars in the grass!? siiiiiiigh.)
then i used Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Perserves, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn distress inks to blend the background together. loooooove the blending people! :) i also splattered some water...because i literally can't resist that, people!! ha!
i colored the ADORABLE boxer puppy from Critters at the Dog Park and then popped him up on the heat embossed banner sentiment!

i also heat embossed the fireworks from Happy 4th onto some vellum! then i fussy cut them out and stitched them onto the card! YES i did! and i LOVE it!

for even more inspiration (if you can stand it!), check out the lawnscaping facebook page! we're dedicated to keeping your creative juices flowing! :)

this week we're sponsored by lawn fawn! so get your card making on, and you could win a stamp set of your choice! :)

I have two cards on the Create a Smile blog showcasing one of the new sets called Uplifting! i LOVE that set!

my first card is all boy!

i started by blending two yellow Distress Inks (Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade) and then flicked some water on top!

the images were colored with copics and then popped up! i framed the scene with some stitching and the used some layered patterned papers! love the blue and yellow together! oh yeah, i added some glossy accents to that fun window, too!

my second card is the opposite - girly! ha!

i watercolored the background and also that AWESOME hot air balloon and cloud images!

i finished off the card by flicking on some water and the very gently adding gold perfect pearls! people are loving gold right now! so why not add some fun gold!? perfect pearls are so fun, and i don't use this gold as mush as i should! :) ha!

Lawnscaping Challenge #107 - Calling all Critters

it's monday!
it's a new month!
and it's the start of a new Lawnscaping Challenge! and this is a really FUN one! ha! (they're all fun, i know!)

yes - it's critters!! pretty much the easiest challenge with Lawn Fawn stamps! ha!

i used the adorable little penguins from Critters in the Snow! they're on they're very own summer vacation!

here in SC, my little mann's last day of school was Friday, so we're totally ready and in full summer mode! That awesome floatie is from the Swimsuit Season set (and dude, that's on sale now!!). i added some white polka dots with my gel pen for a little fun!

that background was created with distress paints and inks! i swiped the background with my distress paints (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon)! once that was dry,i used the same colors in the ink pads and watercolored them in the corners to sort of soften the edges and make it look more 'watery'.

so that's my cardare you ready to play along?
for even more inspiration (if you can stand it!), check out the lawnscaping facebook page! we're dedicated to keeping your creative juices flowing! :)

this week we're sponsored by a brand new sponser for the Lawnscaping Challenge - Ellen Hutson! so get your card making on, and you could win a $25 gift certificate! hello!! :)
