Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #202 - Color Inspiration

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I super love a color inspiration!!!

yay!!
these colors are so fresh and bright and perfect for so many different cards!
personally, I couldn't resist making a card with oranges and capybaras!

so fun!
I stamped and colored the images from Capybaras! and Capybaras! Add-on as well as Be Hap-pea and Party Animal with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I love that idea of coloring the peas from Be Hap-pea as oranges to join the fun with the capybaras! just adorable and so fun!

 

I did lots of ink blending for the background of the card.
first I die cut out the two layers of the card from white cardstock using the Large Slimline with Sliders dies. I used Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the sky.
I die cut out the grass using the Grassy Borders and the added color with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. 

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then I used the smallest banner from the Stitched Sentiment Banners to die cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #188 - Let's Celebrate

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so easy, yet so FUN! you'll want to play along more than once!

the Let's Celebrate challenge is sooo fun and versatile! this time, I decided to make a sweet rainbow baby card!

I stamped and colored the images from Plus One with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images. and of course - I couldn't resist coloring them in a rainbow palette!

 

for the background, I die cut the base with the Large Slimline with Sliders dies from Fog Cardstock. then I used some white embossing paste and the Cloud Background Stencils to add some subtle texture.
a few of the umbrellas were popped up with foam tape, but most were tapped directly on the card front.

 

I heat embossed part of the sentiment from Little Bundle in black onto some vellum. then I die cut it out with the Fancy Wavy Banners. the rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then I trimmed it way down. 

 

I finished the card off with a light sprinkling of black ink around the card!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #187 - Happy New Year Inspiration

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so lovely, and sweet and magical!

I was inspired by those gorgeous fireworks to create my card!

I stamped and colored the images from Winter Skies and Over the Mountain Borders with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut the images out with their coordinating dies.

 

 

for the background, I die cut out the base with the Large Slimline with Sliders die set. I ink blended the sky with Black Soot, Uncharted Mariner, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.
I used the Nighttime Sky Stencil to create the moon in the background, too!

then I used some gold foil and the Fireworks Hot Foil Plates on white cardstock then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. so pretty!! to make it blend in with the background, I used the same Distress Ink colors for the background of the fireworks, too!

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white from the Let's Bokeh set onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!

lloveable llamas!

today I'm super happy to share the card I have up on the Newotn's Nook blog today! it's a birthday card with the sweetest llama images you ever saw!

I stamped the images from Loveable Llamas, Newton's Cupcake (the party hat) and Cycling Friends (the bunch of balloons) in black and then used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor them in! so many bright and happy colors - I also added some details with a white gel pen to each image once I was done.
all of the images were die cut with the coordinating dies, too.

I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to die cut out the slimline base of the card. then I used the Hills & Grass Stencil with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I then used the Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon for the sky.

I die cut out the 'llama' word with the Essential Alphabet die set in black to help make the sentiment pop!! then I simply stamped the rest of the sentiment around the big word!

I love how this card came out!

happy weekend! today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog using some of the newest products! so fun! and BONUS, I have a video to share with this card, too!! you can watch it by heading to my youtube channel, or clicking here!

I think this card is so cute!
I just love the pops of color! and speaking of color, I stamped the images from A Bug Deal, Year Ten and the new Critters in the Desert stamp set. I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I did a LOT of Distress Ink blending on this slimline card!
I cut the card base using the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait frame. then I used some white cardstock and the Stitched Hillside Borders and die cut 3 hills. I lined the hills up according to the height that I wanted them, and then I used some washi tape on the back of them to keep them together. then I used the same frame from before and die cut out the hills! and that is how the rest of the scene comes together in a cohesive manner!

I used Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the hills. then I splattered some white acrylic ink, as well as the ink color on top to give it a sandy texture.
for the sky, I used Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used the stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure then I splattered some white ink on top to mimic night stars! 

all of the critters were attached with foam tape. and then the rest of the images were glued directly to the scene.
I heat embossed the sentiment onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then used the Fancy Wavy Banners to die cut it out.
