Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Hummingbird Stamp Set + coordinating dies

welcome back!
we're kicking off day 3 of Newton's Nook Designs' May release!

this release has totally got me giving alllll feelings of spring and happiness!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Hummingbird Stamp Set + coordinating dies.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on May 22nd, right here

my card today uses some watercoloring with Distress Inks!

Humming Along, Thinking of You Card by Samantha Mann for Newton's Nook Designs, Distress Inks, Watercolor, Embossing Paste, Stencil, Glitter, Cards, Handmade Cards, #newtonsnook #watercolor #distressinks #cards #cardmaking #embossing paste

I love how this came out!
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers to create the watercolored background!
I smooched the watercolor onto my Kraft Mat and then spritzed with water. then I used a big brush to add the color in a big wash on the top right hand side of my card front.

I used all the colors, from darkest to lightest! once it was dry, I added a second layer of the same colors in the same area, to increase the vibrancy!

I also used the Bold Blooms Stencil and some white embossing paste to add some texture to the bottom left corner of the card!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I finished by adding some glitter to the hummingbird to make him shine!! LOVE that little guy!
