Shark Week with Newton's Nook Designs!

what's that? shark week, you say?! YES!!!

next week Newton's Nook Designs is having their July release...and a special surprise, but THIS week, we're also releasing a brand NEW set that is in honor of Shark Week!!! HOW FUN?!

i just LOVE this stamp set! it's called Shark Bites, and people...it's on sale NOW!! it's also 'on sale' - but only for this week! and i had been wanting to make a layout with this title for a while, and i LOVE how it came out!

i fussy cut out all of the sharks from light grey piece of pattened paper and then added some dimension and coloring with copics! LOVE doing that! i also stamped the JAW-some sentiment right onto my photo! so FUN! he he!

oh the background...that was FUN! i used some acrylic paint and create some thick swipes of paint with my palette knife, making sure that you could see the strokes and layers. once that was dry, i went BACK on top of the painted area and added some watercolor swatches with the packaging technique on various areas of the layout. i really LOVE that look! it's so full of dimension and i think it makes it a little more dynamic with the different mediums! 

i added a little bit of embellishing and that was it!
