Lawnscaping Challenge #109 - Sparkle and Shine

happy first monday in July!
today is the start of a new Lawnscaping Challenge! and this is a really FUN one! ha! (they're all fun, i know!)

yes! i know there are going to be some super pretty entries this time around!! sparkle? shine? YES please!! ha!

this time, i used those super fun fireworks images from the Happy 4th stamp set! I was in the 4th of July mood, clearly! and to be honest, this is actually a birthday card for a good friend, who happens to have a birthday around the 4th and LOOOOOOVES fireworks! 

i used the fireworks with some distress inks (Mustard Seed, Lemonade Stand and Worn Lipstick) and once I stamped them all over, i flicked some water around and added small little areas of watercolor in the coordinating colors with the packaging technique!

next, i used a stencil and some of the transluscent embossing paste (hello shine!) on top! 

oh! and i also stamped some of the fireworks onto vellum and heat embossed them with a clear sparkle which i LOVE! it adds lots of texture and FUN to the card!

lastly, i stamped the sentiment from Let's Play along the side of the card! because....well, i just wanted to change things up! :)
