hey there!!
i had some extra time yesterday, so i decided to play along with the cure for the monday blues challenge that my super fabulous and incredibly talented, fellow newton's nook design teamie hosts on her blog once a week! it's amazing! she chooses the most incredible inspiration photos!! and when i saw this weeks...well, i knew i had to play along, no matter what!

just look at the colors!!! teals, yellows, pinks...all bright!! yes, i honestly couldn't love this more!

for my card, i inked up one of my favorite stamp sets from neat and tangled - my heart sings! 

all of the color is distress paint! i am LOVING distress paint, and i LOVE just playing around with it!
the background was created with tumbled glass and peacock feathers...and LOTS of water!
and the bird was two swipes of picked raspberry and squeezed lemonade! 

i fussy cut out the bird and then popped it up for some dimension!
i flicked on some white mr huey's and then used some cosmo cricket tiny type letters to create the sentiment - which i also popped up!

after i added some pretty pretty pink sequins and same colored pink enamel dots, the card was done!
i had SO much fun playing along!! i could 100 cards from that inspiration photo!
