Newton's Nook Designs July Release Day 4 - Aloha Newton + Hibiscus Die Set

day 4, and the fun's not over yet!! we're still celebrating the Newton's Nook Designs July Release! 

today, the whole DT is showcasing the cuter than cute: Aloha Newton + Hibiscus Die Set!! 

you can totally use these to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 15th, right here!

that kitty in a hammock image...SO CUTE!! i couldn't resist coloring him up right away!!

i used Distress Markers and did some watercoloring! once it was all dry, i fussy cut it out! 

the background was created by smooshing Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Vintage Photo onto a rectangular acrylic block, spritzing (lightly!) with water, and then pressing onto my card base! looooooove how it turned out!  

my last card of the release (until tomorrow!! ha!) uses the super fun Hibiscus Dies!!! 

i die cut the shapes out of various patterned papers first! then i added some shading with copics onto all of the pieces! LOOOOVE the subtle bit of dimension it adds!

for the background, i blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and sprinkled some water drops on top! the sentiment was heat embossed and is from the Aloha Newton set, as well!
