Lawnscaping Challenge #133 - Mood Board

well, It's time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!! :) 
it's my favorite part of the week, i tell ya! and today is a bonus - HAPPY 4TH! ha!

I am 100%, hands down, head over heels, in LOVE with this mood board!! The yellows and the teals...um, YES please!! ha! and don't even get me started on the polka dots!
so i had to create a beach-y type card!

love it!
first, i used a stencil and some embossing paste in a disconnected, chevron-y pattern. and once it was dry, i did some ink blending with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks, right on top!

i watercolored the images with Distress Markers, and then popped up that adorable clam from the Year Six stamp set! LOVE him!! The 'beach' part and the shells are from the Life is Good set! 

i heat embossed the sentiment, and then popped it up! a little strip of polka dot washi was all it needed to complete the card!
