Newton's Nook Designs July Release Day 1 - Freshly Squeezed and Dog Days of Summer

people, before we start this week...i need to warn you: THIS RELEASE IS EPIC!!!
ok, i think we can continue!! ha!

Let's start with day 1 of Newton's Nook Designs July Release! 

today, the whole DT is showcasing TWO new stamp sets!!!! and these two sets: Freshly Squeezed and Dog Days of Summer, are ADORABLE!! 

you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 15th, right here!

my 1st card uses the Dog Days of Summer stamp set - and these are some of my favorite dog images ever!!

i watercolored the image with Distress Markers, and then added some dots for texture! oh i just want that little pup to get a good lick of that ice cream! ha!

i used some gesso and a heart shaped stencil to create the white part on that beautifully rainbow paper! love how it looks! 

for my 2nd card, i used the CUTE CUTE CUTE Freshly Squeezed stamp set!

now what you might not know, is that i live in the birthplace of Sweet Tea (that's what my town boasts anyway!)! i had never tried sweet tea until we moved here, and now i LOVE it! ha!
but i digress, onto my card!

i watercolored the images with Distress Markers, and then fussy cut them out! I used Distress Ink in Twisted Citron to add some blending and little splatters! mmmm...sweet tea! ha!
