Create a Smile Stamps July Release Countdown!

i'm so excited for this release from Create a Smile Stamps! i'm telling you, the cards i'm featuring have two of my favorite sets! eeek!!

not to mention there are brand new background CLING stamp sets being released and STENCILS!! wooo!! it's a big one!!

my first card uses the Glowing Seaside stamp set!! it's ABSOLUTELY perfect for making cards that light up...and that's just what i did!

i used lots of Distress Paints (Peacock Feathers, Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire) to create the deep, dark underwater-y background! loooove it!

i punched a few tiny holes and then set up the copper wire/battery/doohickey things (you've just been science-d!! ha ha!) underneath! 

love that cute little squid guy too! he looks so happy and i LOVE his giant eye!! 

my second card uses the MOST ADORABLE SET EVER!! it's called All Hands on Deck and they're pirate koalas!!!!!! aaaaaaaaack!!!!

i watercolored this little guy and then popped him up! i used some tissue paper in mint that i had in my drawer, and added some embossing paste to it with a cool new stencil! 

i stitched the tissue paper to the card and then splattered some Cracked Pistachio because it matched PERFECTLY!!
