we're right in the middle of Newton's Nook Designs April release!!
I am not kidding when I tell you that i'm in LOVE with this month's release! every item is adorable, and so unique!!
today the whole team is showing off the Simply Relative! this set is PERFECT for adding the perfect, special sentiment for your card!
you can totally use these to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on April 14th, right here!
for my first card, i combined some of the other sets in this release with a few of the awesome phrases you can make with this set!
you haven't seen it yet, but this card features a few of the tiny butterflies from the new set being featured TOMORROW! SO sweet! I colored them with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out.
the banner was made with white cardstock and Distress Ink, which I just applied with the packaging technique.
the background of the card was stamped with the leaves from the Lovely Blooms stamp set in a light grey ink.
the background of the card was stamped with the leaves from the Lovely Blooms stamp set in a light grey ink.
I also added some embossing paste in the shape of butterflies randomly on the card, for some texture.
for my 2nd card, well...my Mother-In-Law needs a card for Mother's Day, too! ha!
I used a piece of computer paper as a mask, and did some light ink blending with my Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink. Then I stamped some of the floral images from the Cottage Garden stamp set in the same ink!
i sprinkled some water on top, and then once it was all dry, I heat embossed that perfect sentiment and added some sequins to finish it off.
