you aaaaarrrrrggghhhhh a treasure!

today I have a super fun pirate-themed card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! I love it!

it came out so cute!
I stamped and colored the images from On the Beach, Ahoy, Matey, How You Bean? Money Add-on and Fintastic Friends with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added lots of details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the background, I did LOTS of ink blending!
I used Distress Inks in Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the shore. I splattered the same colors all over the shore to give it a sandy look. and for the ocean, I used Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used a very dry brush and some white acrylic paint. I tapped on the white paint with the dry brush to create the sea foam spray! LOVE!

I used the Knock Knock, Who's There? die set to create the interactive element!
it's one of the easiest dies to use and I LOVE it!

I couldn't resist adding the cute little hermit crab inside the door! and the fun speech bubble just cracks me up!
I wanted the card to look like the treasure chest was being opened up and reveling even more treasure! ha!

witching you a happy halloween!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and BONUS, I have a video for it too! you can check it out here or on my youtube channel!

I was so excited to use the new Knock Knock, Who's There? die on my card!
I started by stamping the images from Halloween Mice, You Autumn Know, Happy Howloween, Booyah and Bubbles of Joy. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen! then, once the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

next up, it was time to make the background! I used a piece of white cardstock and did LOTS of ink blending. I used Squeezed Lemonade for the moon glow, and then Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot for the rest of the night sky.
I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles for the hills and grass. then I die  cut them out with the Grassy Border and Stitched Hillside Borders.

I knew I wanted to to make the 'door' of the scene in the sky, so I used the door frame in the middle-ish of the card and ran it through my die cutting machine. then once the rest of the mechanism was die cut and added, I began to put the rest of the images together for the card!

some of the images were popped up with foam tape, and some were glued down directly. I combined two brooms from the Booyah set for the hidden mouse to ride!
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock.

sending birthday fishes!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! I'm so excited to share it - it's adorable!
and BONUS - I made a video for it!

I am in love with this cute birthday card!
I thought it would be super fun to make a card featuring cats throwing a party for the fish! lol!
I started by stamping the images from Keep on Swimming, Keep on Swimming Add-on, Meow You Doin', Purrfectly Wicked and Party Animal. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out with their coordinating dies.

Next, I moved on to the Double Slider Surprise part of the card! I die cut out the pocket from the new Gleeful Gradients Paper Pad.
I used some 1/4" inch tape to attach it all together. I also used a piece of old plastic packaging for the slider mechanism to work! So fun!

Then, it was time to decorate the card with all of my little critters!
I glued them down directly to the Double Slider, but I did pop up the fish and banner!

I heat embossed the sentiment with white onto some Black Licorice cardstock.

I used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils and some white embossing paste to add texture to the card front. Then I attached the Double Slider with some foam tape and it's ready to go!

oh what fun!
as soon as I saw the Backyard Bird Feeder stamp set, I knew I wanted to make a card with a squirrel somehow reaching the seeds! lol!
I started by stamping the images from Backyard Bird Feeder, Backyard Bird Feeder Add-on and Let's Go Nuts! then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

then I die cut out the Peekaboo Pop-Up pieces from white cardstock. I die cut one sheet using the Grassy Border and hill border from the set. then I did LOTS of fun ink blending!

I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles for the ground. and Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the sky.
next, I used the Clouds Background Stencils and white embossing paste for the background, too!

after I assembled the card, I replaced part of the pop-up mechanism with acetate so it would look like the squirrel was taking a running jump in the air!  so fun!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then die cut it using the Stitched Sentiment Banners and then attached it to the side panel.

Reveal Wheel Bird Feeder Card

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
it's so fun and uses the new Backyard Bird Feeder and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-on along with the Reveal Wheel dies!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
then I added some details with a white gel pen and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. those birds are so cute and I love the feeder images!

next, I die cut out the reveal wheel parts and did lots of ink blending. I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the background. I also die cut out the frame from the Reveal Wheel Arc Frame Add On and ink blended that in Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch too.

I used the Reveal Wheel Templates: Essential Shapes to stamp and heat emboss the sentiments on the wheel. that makes things SO MUCH easier!
and I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock.

reeeeeally high five, my friend!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and you know what that means...I have a video too!

I used the new Pull N Slide and Birthday Mouse die sets! 

I started by coloring all of the images from Really High Five, Party Animal, Bubbles of Joy and You Autumn Know with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added some details with a white gel pen!

Next, I did lots of die cutting and Distress Ink blending with the new Birthday Mouse dies!

I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the mouse body. I used Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the balloon. Then I used Saltwater Taffy for the cheeks and ears. I also used Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the party hat!

Next, I ink blended the background - 3 times! I used both panels from the Pull N Slide die, as well as an A2 piece of cardstock. I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. Then I used the new Cloud Background Stencil with the same colors, but more pressure to add a subtle tone-on-tone look to the background! LOVE it!

The fun part was assembling the card - the interactive die was the easiest die ever! I was nervous at first, but after making one, I can't wait to make 100 more!

today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! it's so sweet, and bonus! I made a video to go along with it!

so cute, right?!
I used the new It's a Bird stamp set with the older Mini Pop-Up Box die set! I LOVE that die! it adds just the right amount of surprise inside the card!
I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the outside of the card, I used the Puffy Cloud Borders to die cut out a 'tree top' inspired image from white cardstock. and then used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.
for the cardbase, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the trees, and Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the sky.

inside the card is the real gem! yay!
I decorated inside the box with some acetate to make it look like the birds were flying, and the little mouse was popping up in the tree looking for the birds! so fun!
I also ink blended the inside panels with the same colors (Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron).
the box itself was stamped with the Woodgrain Backdrops stamp and then ink blending with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the 'tree' and the same greens for the 'leaves' of the box!
hopefully you can tell that the box is supposed to mimic a tree!

   
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. and I stamped a few music notes inside and out to finish off the card!

Fawny Holiday Week 2024

today I'm joining in on the festive fun on the Lawn Fawn blog with the Fawny Holiday week!

I'm sharing a fun, winter-y themed card for the holidays, and bonus! there's a video! be sure to check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog, or on my youtube channel, here!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then did lots of watercoloring! I stuck to a small color palette this time (no rainbows!), focusing on reds and greens, and browns and greys.
I used Winter Birds and Flappy Holiday stamp sets. once all of the images were colored, I added some details with a white gel pen, and then die cut them out with their coordinating dies!

then it was time to make the platform! I used the Platform Pop-up and Platform Pop-up Cloud Inserts dies to create this wintery tree scene! I cut it all out of white cardstock and then went to town ink blending! I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles for the leafy tree tops and then Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the tree base itself.

before assembling the platform, I used the Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set to add the wood texture to the tree base! so FUN! then I splattered the wood with white acrylic ink and used some white gesso and a dry brush to add the snow capped canopy look! I really hope that came across!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then used the Stitched Sentiment Banner die set to die cut out the large one, and just trimmed the smaller sentiment in a strip.

I love that this card can be folded flat for a standard sized envelope but still makes such a big impact when you pop it up!

I stamped and colored the images from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Add-on with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
then I added some details with a white gel pen once everything was dry.
next, I used the coordinating dies to die cut everything out and set the images aside.

I used the Shadowbox Card dies with some Mermaid Cardstock to create the card base. then I used Distress Inks to add some color and dimension to the background of the scenes.
I used Blueprint Sketch and a little Peacock Feathers with white acrylic ink splatters for the sky. then I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine needles for the ground and hills inside the card.

it was SOOOO fun to decorate inside, outside and all around of the shadowbox card - which I think is my favorite reason to create a shadow box card. well that, and it's SO easy!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black licorice cardstock.

you're one in a MILLION

today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and guess what? there's extra fun today because I made a video for this card! you can watch it up on the Lawn Fawn blog, or here on my YouTube channel!

I love it!
I used the new Whoosh, Kites! and How You Bean? Money Add On stamp sets! I started by coloring the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then using the coordinating dies to die cut them out. then I used a white gel pen to add some details to each image.

I love the Ta-Da! Diorama! die set and so I used that to make my card along with patterned papers from Really Rainbow and Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime paper pads.
I also used Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn on the hills inside the card!

I used the money images and placed them on top of the kite strings that the mice were holding, which is just sooooo cute!
those little mice look like they're SO excited to 'be in the money!'
I used the new Ta-Da! Diorama! Sunburst Window Add On for the opening of the card! so fun!

I finished off the card with the sentiment in white on vellum that was die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners.

give it a whirl...with bubbles!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and BONUS! I made a video to go along with it! you can check it out on my youtube, or here!

I couldn't resist trying out the new Give it a Whirl die set from Lawn Fawn!
I stamped and colored the cute little images from Bubbles of Joy, You're Just My Type, Virtual Friends Add-on and You Autumn Know with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out!
I added some details with a white gel pen, and then set them aside as I created the rest of the card.

I used some Fog Cardstock and the Brick Stencil to create the cardbase. I used White Embossing paste AND Fairy Dust Embossing Paste to add the texture and the background. I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed to add the rainbow look on the 'bubbles' that were die cut with the Give it a Whirl die set.

I heat embossed the sentiment on the small circle that whirls around! and then attached all of the images around the card and on the large circle of the die set with glue.
