Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 2

hi again!
I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week

and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

for today's card, I didn't use any Distress Inks...I know!! but don't worry, I still got inky...with lots of Alcohol Inks!

so pretty!
I used the new Stitched Poinsettia dies! they're so pretty, and I love layering them!
I did loooooots of Alcohol Inking for this card...because once I start...I mean, I might as well keep going and do ALL the colors! lol!
I combined reds and pinks and oranges fro the petals, and greens and teals for the leaves!

I also due cut out some vellum for the petals, as well as some newspaper print vellum that I found in my stash!
I used some white woodgrain paper for my card base, and then heat embossed a sentiment from Joy to the Woods in white, onto some black cardstock! then I fussy cut out around it!

I thought about adding some sequins or gems, but I really like how messy but also clean and simple this is!

be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for allllll of your holiday inspiration needs! ha!
enjoy!

  2. Gorgeous! Coloring the vellum leaves with alcohol markers might look good too.

    1. Or using Lawn Fawn pearlescent vellum, or gold embossed vellum...so many options!
