welcome to the 2nd day of the Newton's Nook Designs June release!!
this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Furr-ever Friends! this is a sad, but necessary set! i've been waiting for one like this, for a while. you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 16th, right here!
here's my first card:
I used some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and the packaging technique to create the sunset background. Then I die cut that out with a circle shape!
i heat embossed the cat image, and the sentiment in black, and used some Distress Ink Oxide Iced Spruce to create that grey background. I added some white stars with embossing paste and a stencil!
my second card can be used for a loss of any kind:
I stated by making that bright, rainbow, watercolored background. Again, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers: scribbled them onto a piece of old plastic packaging, spritzed with water and smooshed the packaging onto the card front.
Next, I stamped the forever phrase onto white cardstock and fussy cut around it. I did the same with the wings, but used vellum, and then lots of shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen.
Would you like to win the “Furr-ever Friends” Stamp Set?

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, I have so go to have this set :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard to the packaging technique, are you able to explain it please? Thank you
sure can!!! you can tap your ink pad onto some old clear, plastic sticker packaging and spritz with water (or i took my watercolor markers and scribbled onto the packaging and then spritzed with water), then press the packaging to your cardstock! super easy! super organic watercolor look! :) i have a video on youtube showing it, too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vjtd4ZCLgU
DeleteLoving the uniqueness of your watercolor background to the second card!!! And that way it could be for either a dog or a cat!
ReplyDeleteThat packaging technique is SO COOL! I LOVE the sunset you created and it makes the perfect visual contrast with the grey starry background. I gotta try some of those Zig Markers one of these days, you make the most beautiful things with them Samantha! <3 Meredith
