2s4y birthday card

this latest challenge at 2 sketches 4 you gives you the opportunity to be on their design team!! what?? yeah, you heard it right - so get your cards in!! how awesome!! here's the sketch:

and here's my take:

my friend's birthday is coming up, so i decided to make a card for her based on this sketch! i dry embossed the dark purple paper and then cut out a rectangle so the sentiment could peek through. i also popped that up for dimension.

then i used some kraft paper to break up the purple-y-ness (this friend loves purple), plus i love kraft paper, so win-win! then i used some purple and white floss and tied the kraft paper like a present and blinged out the bow. :)
