today I'm super excited to share a card I made for Valentine's Day, up on the Lawn Fawn blog!

I'm in love with this card - it's been a hot minute since I've made a shaker card, and it's been a hot minute since I've made a slimline card. today, I combined BOTH with the Large Slimline with Sliders dies! and it was so fun to make!
I started by stamping the images from A Mole Lot of Love, A Mole Lot of Love Add-on, Little Woodland Library and Porcu-pine For You. then I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen and once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out!
for the background, I made my own clouds background stencil! I used the Puffy Cloud Borders to die cut out two edges of white cardstock, and use that as a stencil to create the 'mounds' of dirt for the moles to play in! I used Distress Inks in Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber to ink blend the 'dirt', and then I splattered like no one's business to mimic the look of sand! I used the same Distress Ink colors, as well as some white acrylic ink.
I used a bunch of sequins in various colors and sizes: golds, browns, white seed beads, gold and brown glitter and so much more! lol! I love how the shaker bits look together for this sandy scene!
I attached all of my images with glue and then used two layers of foam tape to pop up the shaker part.
I finished the card off by heat embossing part of the sentiment onto a banner die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners from Black Licorice Cardstock.
this card was so much fun to make, and really love how it came out!
