i know we do! and today is day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!! and let me tell you...these 5 (yes, 5!!!) sets are incredible! i had so much fun with them, i made two cards for each day this week!!
today's set is called Newton’s Curious Christmas!! it's AMAZING! and hilarious, and awesome!! newton's certainly up to his old antics and i couldn't LOVE IT MORE! ha ha!
this set is perfect for scrapbooking your holiday memories, doing a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards!! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on October 17th, right here!

i decided to keep it clean and simple! i used some transluscent embossing paste and a confetti stencil from Studio Calico, that i really think can give off that 'bokeh' effect, slightly! :)

for my second card, i went with the non-traditional christmas colors!
i used this AMAZING patterned paper (which is actually from a halloween collection!) and heat embossed in clear some more of the stars from the set! i thought it added a little extra something! :)
newton and the moon (and santa and his sleigh!) were heat embossed in black onto watercolor paper! i used my distress markers to color in the scene and then popped it all up onto some gold thread!
the sentiment banner was distressed to match the moon! and i just happened to have the PERFECT complimenting star washi!! i think this is my favorite card of the bunch!

ReplyDeleteThat translucent embossing paste is really cool -gives a subtle texture to the already pretty card! And the second card on the roof is soooooo cool! I love that background paper - the kitty looks like he's having magical dreams of christmas eve!
ReplyDeleteThese really look terrific Samantha! I LOVE that woodgrain paper and the Wink of Stella with Glossy Accents over it looks FAB! It was so clever to use that cloud paper with Newton on the roof top such a great pairing!

Both are so clever! I love how the first one really pops from the background paper...great coloring! And the subtle colors of the 2nd card is peaceful and perfect for the gazing Newton :)
