i also made this for the moxie fab world speech bubble challenge! and moxie fab world ombre challnege because i sure do love me some speech bubbles and ombre! :)
i heat embossed all of the stars on the background (from the on target stamp set) and then i fussy cut out the colored stars (stamp from polar pals). i sewed all along the stars with my sewing machine to give a sort of 'falling stars' look.
the sentiment and 'party rock hand' are from good times, i popped up those speech bubbles.
so, once again, i loosely interpreted the sketch, but i totally think it's cool! and i can't wait to send it to my brother in law for his birthday!
hope your saturday is shaping up well! i am hoping to get inky and creative again this weekend! that's my goal!! :)
enjoy!
This card is awesome!! I love the background that you created and how you added sewing for the star lines! It looks great! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Samantha, this is SOOOO cute and pretty! I've been thinking of a stamp set with the hanging threads and you have quite possibly provided some unexpected inspiration! I kid you not!!! Love the ombre, love the popped up speech bubbles, love everything. This card is fantastic, lol! Thanks so much for playing along with Mama Elephant!
ReplyDeleteIf this doesn't win the whole thing then something's wrong with the world...like seriously...maybe it's tilted off axis or something? FABULOUS take on the challenge (making a sketch yours is what it's all about)...the stitched lines, speech bubbles, ombre effect (add it to the Moxie Fab ombre challenge too!) and its general awesomeness and attractiveness...love it!
ReplyDeletefun and cute and made me smile!
