a tree hugger's birthday

it was my good-good friend's birthday yesterday, so i made her a card (naturally)! she's a nature lover (and self-proclaimed animal tolerator, ha!), so i think this card really fits her.

i cut the tree and word "tree hugger" with the cricut (using the create a critter and give a hoot cartridges respectively). i added the pink hearts (simple punch hearts) to the tree, though. i thought why not make it a love-fruit tree? :) the sun was made using multiple circle punches (and two different colors of cardstock) and arranging them in a sun-like shape. i do love me some dimension, so between the sun and the popped up cloud (which was stamped out), vwa-la.

i think it's a simple, happy card that portrays exactly what it should - a happy birthday! :)

on another note, wee memories is having a giveaway! she has reached over 300 followers! if your'e not a follower already, check it out, all of her projects are adorable!

thanks again!
