we're kicking this week of with a BANG!!
it's day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!!!
you guys are going to FREAK out with this release!!!
this month's release is all about the holidays!!! It's so fun!!
today the whole team is showing off the All Aboard for Christmas + coordinating Die AND Sentiments of the Season AND Holiday Foliage & Snowfall Stencils!! whew!! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on October 20th, right here!
I had SO MUCH fun making my cards!
for my first card, I used the Holiday Foliage stencil!!
i used my Distress Oxide Inks to add color with the stencil - which was SO easy! but before i started adding any of the color, i used a circle as a mask! and then i added a layer of the translucent embossing paste on top of everything! i LOVE that! it adds dimension and shine!!! so fun! so once everything was done, i removed the circle and BAM! instant area for a sentiment!
then, i heat embossed the sentiment in black on vellum and fussy cut it out!
this would be an AMAZING design to mass produce for the holidays!! you could even switch up the sentiments, to add some fun!
my second card uses the SUPER cute, All Aboard Stamp set!! eeeeeek!
I stamped and colored all of my images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers then used the coordinating dies to cut them out!! SO easy!!
for the background, i used the Snowfall Stencil! I covered it all in gray ink, spritzed it with water, then pressed it down onto my white cardstock! SUCH a fun way to add some details to the background!
then i heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a black strip of cardstock!
I just LOOOOOOVE the rainbow colors for Christmas!! ha!
