Today Newton's Nook is having a super fun blog hop - all about sweet treats, mmm!! Just in time to get those Valentine's ready! :)
I had SOOOOO much fun making my little project!
I decided to make some little treat baskets!
i used an 8.5x11 sheet of cardstock and heat embossed the ADORABLE images from the Beautiful Blossoms stamp set all over it! Once the heat embossing was complete, I added my watercolor all over the whole page with Distress Inks. I used Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.
When everything was dry, I die cut ALL THE HEARTS (ha ha!) with the Darling Hearts die! Ha - seriously, as many as I could! Then I arranged the hearts so there were no holes and did LOTS of mod podge-ing! It dried great, and I was able to fold up the edges! I added a little 'handle' with some patterned paper and ribbons to the sides!
(you can see my littlest little Mann trying to sneak a chocolate chip cookie while I was taking the photo - little sneak!!)

Wow that is a lot of work for cookie baskets. They look great - as do the cookies, just like my grannies. I hope the baskets get the recognition they deserve. :)
