Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 3 - Holiday Tweets

The cute continues with the holiday release extravaganza for Newton's Nook Designs!

I am not kidding when I tell you that the sets this month are AMAZING!!! I can't wait for everyone to see the whole release!
today the whole team is showing off Holiday Tweets! these little birds are ADORABLE! i LOVE them!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on October 28th, right here!

i colored the little bird couple like cardinals for my first card!

i stamped and watercolored the images with Distress Markers! i fussy cut the images out and then placed them on top of a subtle, watercolor area!

i combined Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks to get that blue-green color! once it was all dry, i splattered white acrylic paint to mimic snow! i also added some stitching with my sewing machine to the top of the card!

my second card is a little more busy! ha!

yep! LOVE it!
I used that large image and stamped it multiple times in black ink on my card base. on a separate piece of watercolor paper, i stamped and watercolored the images then fussy cut out the larger images!

the smaller images, like the leaves, and little berries, i colored directly on the background! i also added a little sparkle to the ornaments and berries! that image is just soooo sweet! :)

  5. Both cards are so cute! I love the sweet simplicity of the first card with the adorable bird couple and watercolors. The second card is super fun too - I don't think it's busy at all - it's so fun how the one image is colored and the added sparkle really makes it lovely!
