i'll make this a quick post (i have to chase after the little mann after all!)!
the play date cafe's challenge this week was to create a black and white card with a splash of burgandy! fun! i decided to use those colors for a christmas card! i love making christmas cards with nontraditional colors! it's keeps me on my toes! :)
here it is:
i used lawn fawn stamps for the snowflakes (and sentiment), and i heat embossed them in white. it REALLY pops on the black...(it also really shows the mistakes! oh well!) i love heat embossing! i used a burgandy stamp pad that i had from close to my heart for the sentiment, and i also distressed the edge of the sentiment. it really is just a splash of burgandy! :)
well that's the card. off to change diapers and play trucks with the little mann (in case you didn't know, our last name is mann, so that's why i call him our little mann). :)
have fun!
enjoy!
Oh my! Look at the heat embossing!! I knew once I showed you, it would be all downhill from there! hahaha

Cute CAS Holiday card! Lovely snowflakes! Thanks for playing at the PDCC.
ReplyDeleteThe embossing looks GREAT on this card! You are right that white embossing is SO tough because it shows everything, but you did a really great job! =)
