Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #201 - Christmas in July

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this is one of my favorite challenges!!!

yay!!
holiday cards in July might be one of my favorite things to create!

so fun!
I stamped and colored the images from Christmas Fishes and You are Sublime and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry I used a white gel pen to add some details to the images. and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

I did lots of ink blending for the background of the card!
and I loooooove the jewel tones of this card!
I started by die cutting out some hills for the sandy bottom of the ocean with the Stitched Hillside Borders. and then I ink blended with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber. then I splattered some of the same ink color on top.

I also ink blended the ocean, this time with Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used the Draped Ribbons Stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure to make it look like some sun rays were peeking through!
then I splattered white acrylic ink on top of everything!

the sentiment was heat embossed in black onto some vellum. and then die cut out with the Fancy Wavy Banners!

it's such a fun set!

I stamped the images then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and added foam tape to the backs so they would be popped up.
I also added some glitter to each of the images! such a fun and festive touch!

I used some of the new Birthday Time Paper for the base of my card. love that happy shade of yellow-y/orange stripes for the background! so happy and bright!
then I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die Set and die cut it out from some white cardstock and the white confetti paper.
I also cut out one of the stamps like it's getting ready to be used!

the mail stamp was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then attached to the card with some glue.
the small images were popped up with foam tape.

I stamped the images then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and added foam tape to the backs so they would be popped up.

 

I used the Circle Frames Die set and die cut out some of the new Birthday Time Paper with the scalloped larges circle. the smaller circle was die cut out of white cardstock, then I did some ink blending. 

I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I used the Petite Paw Prints Stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure. LOVE those sweet little paw prints in the background!

I put the blue/green circle on top of an action wobbler - which I thought would be PERFECT for a party/birthday themed card!

I love these cute party cats!

I used the Basic Frames Die Set and die cut out the largest rectangle from white cardstock. then I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold and ink blended it. I used the Bokeh Balloons Stencils and the same colors, but with more pressure to add the tone on tone look!

on the card front, I stamped all of the cat images in black - LOVE the contrast!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white on top of the balloon background.

Newton's Nook Designs 12 Year Celebration - Card Layout 3 and 4 Dies, Happy Birthday Die and Birthday Time Paper

my first card uses all of the new products!!
I use the Card Layout 3 die set, Happy Birthday Die Set and Birthday Time Paper!

it's such a fun die set!
I die cut it out of blue cardstock, then popped up a few of the blue panels with foam tape.
then I used the blue confetti paper to back it! LOVE that paper!

 

I stamped the image from Newton's Cupcake and then colored it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then popped it up with foam tape.

 

 

then, I heat embossed part of the sentiment in white onto the same blue cardstock. and die cut out the other part of the sentiment and backed it with vellum!

 

my next card uses the new Card Layout 4 die set and more of the Birthday Time Paper!

LOOOOOOVE this one!
I die cut out that gorgeous confetti paper with the Card Layout 4 die set, and then attached it to some very light grey/light beige cardstock.
then I added some texture with the Confetti stencil and white embossing paste on top.

while that was drying, I stamped the images from Newton Loves Cake and Newton's Thanksgiving and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

I die cut out the banners from the Frames & Flags die set and Banner Trio die set. then I heat embossed the sentiment in white on one and added them to the card.
