Newton's Nook Designs August Release - Classy Teachers + coordinating Die

hi hi hi!
today is day 1 of Newton's Nook Designs August release!

I am super in love with this release!
these sets are so FUN and perfect for the back to school days and Halloween coming up, too!
today we're sharing the classic and so pretty Classy Teachers + coordinating Die
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on August 17th, right here!

my first card uses the awesome image of the teacher holding the chalkboard!

I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! Ilove that you can put the sentiments inside that chalkboard!

I used a piece of paper as a mask to ink blend the background (Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemonade)!
then used the Confetti Stencil to add some texture!

my second card uses the smaller images from the set as the background!

I love this image! it could be a teacher or it could be me leaving a book store! lol!
you know I couldn't resist a chance to color the books in rainbow order! ha!

Once the background was complete, I used the Framework Die set to add that pretty scalloped border!

Would you like to win the “Classy Teachers” Stamp Set?

hello!
thank you so much for stopping by!

the Newton's Nook team was invited to be Guest Sweeties with the new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! and this time, it's all about getting ready to head back to school!

so fun!
I combined a few different Newton's Nook Designs stamp sets to create my back to school card!

love it!
did someone say llama?! ha!
I combined the llama image from Loveable Llamas with the stack of books from the Newton's Book Club stamp set!
I did some creative masking to create the stack of books! ha!

then I added the little apple (gotta have an apple for the teacher!) on top from Newton Dreams of New York!
so fun!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut out!
I used my Gansai Tambi watercolor set to add the green watercolor patch in the background, then heat embossed the setniment!

hope to see you playing along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!

Create a Smile Stamps June 2018 Release!

hello!!

today is the official Create a Smile Stamps June release!! The stamps are available now - so be sure to grab your favorites!!

I'm SOOOOO excited for this release!! all of the images are SO ADORABLE!!! I am in LOOOOVE with the seagulls from Gull Gang!!
I created  this cute card....

ha ha ha!! it reminds me of the seagulls from Finding Nemo!! ha!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut them out!

I LOVE that one of them is stealing the fry...and their expressions!! ha!! I am cracking up!!
The bottom was created with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch! then I did lots of splattering with colors and white ink!

my second card uses the sweet sweet First Day of School stamp set!

and that mouse could not be more adorable!!!!
again, all of my images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out!
I stamped the various pen and paintbrush images in a light grey on the top of the cardbase.

then I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to ink blend the background!
I tore that piece of cardstock at the bottom, and attached it to the cardfront with the strip of washi!
so cute!

which brings me to my final card of the release, which uses the Say What? stamp set!

LOVE it!
and you know I had to sneak a rainbow in there...ha!
I stamped almost all of the images and colored them all in, then placed them in rainbow order onto my card front!

the background was created by using a grey tinted embossing paste and the Big Stars Polka Stencil! LOVE IT!

hope these cards inspired to check out the release!! the rest of the DT has created INCREDIBLE cards and I can't wait for you to see them!
enjoy!

back to school time with littles in the house is so bittersweet! i'm so sad that school is starting for my little Menn! they start in 2 weeks!!! i can't even handle that! ha!

anyway, i made a layout of my biggest little Mann and the side by side of his 1st day and last day of school from last year! fun!!

Lawn Fawn has so many awesome school related sets! I used the Science of Love stamp set, and stamped those fun little books out on vellum! i didn't want to add too much color, and i really wanted those sweet little apples from My Silly Valentine to pop on the page! i just love them!!

i stitched on my title, and then used some of those awesome arrows from Woodgrain Backdrops to draw your eye towards the 1st grade subtitle on top of the page, and the little cluster of stamps on the bottom!

so that's my projectare you ready to play along?

lots of lawn fawny love happening here!

i used the puffy star lawn cuts to make the shape of my card! i thought a star shaped card would be perfect for back to school! then i used the speech bubble border lawn cut to make the (popped up!) notebook paper speech bubble part of the star shape! :)

the cute as can be birds from science of love were colored with copic makrers and then i added glossy accents to their glasses! :)  i also used the book from that set and made my own patterned paper for the birds! :)
